To quote a line from one of my favourite movies: Life is like a box of chocolates...you never know what you're going to get! ABOUT MEI am kind, warm hearted, and fun to be with. I am honest and direct (no head games or emotional drama). I am very social - I love to spend time with my kids, my family and friends, to go out and do things and be active, but mostly it is about the people I am with and enjoying good company. I like to try new things, and enjoy everything in life, big and small. Things I love:- spending time with my kids, family and friends: BBQs, cards, cribbage, outings- an appreciation for all kinds of music (except rap and opera); I mostly listen to soft rock and the CBC- going out for brunch or dinner- live music concerts, live theatre, busker festivals, country fairs, etc.- skating on the canal- dressing up for work, dressing down and comfy on weekends- quiet evenings to read and watch TV and movies- playing sports at a leisure pace: golf, ski, curling- cottage life: swimming, kayaking, canoeing, sunsets, stars, thunderstorms rolling in across the lake- dinner by candlelight, even on a weekday!- a glass of wine with a home cooked meal- puttering in my garden and doing home renos- lounging with my coffee and the paper on Sunday mornings- walking the dog- TRAVEL: Next trip: Iceland in November to see the Northern Lights!!!Initially, I would like to date a bit to get my feet wet again. I have not dated for a very long time and need to get used to it again. So, no pressure, and no great expectations. But, ultimately, I am doing this because I miss the intimacy of having a life partner. I want to find someone to share my life with;-to-day, the hopes and dreams.     Why is it so hard to tell about yourself, when you know yourself the best? Overall I think I am a very good person. I care about other peoples feelings, believe you treat people how you want to be treated. Like to talk but also am a very good listener.
