I enjoy reading, crafting, making jewelry, road trips, fishing, camping, bike riding, watching a good football game, going to live sporting events, people watching, hanging around a nice fire at night with a group of great friends and laughing until our guts hurt, I could keep going but I don't want to lose your interest so just ask if you want to know more...I want to be with someone that is not going to be gone all the time as I did the Military wife thing for 14 years and if was very lonely!!! I knew somewhat what I was getting into but it was hard to get used to sleeping alone and being alone after the kids went to bed, so I know I am not looking for someone that is always gone. I do like to have my time and you have yours, we can't smother each other. I won't share my partner intimately with anyone else, call me selfish. I am really wanting someone that looks forward to the end of their work day to see me because they were thinking about me all day, as I was thinking of them too. I don't concider myself needy but I need to be needed. I like to think of myself as old fashioned, I will cook and clean up after you BUT I hate to think I am not appreciated. I also realize we are not young 20 somethings and so we are set in our ways somewhat and there are quite a few men out there that have done things for themselves for a longtime so it is sometimes easier to ease into the old fashioned ways and then to some men I guess it might be a turn-off...I have 2 great adult children, one of each gender and my daughter lives out of state which is not always easy but she is a grown woman. I am a VERY PROUD mother and I enjoyed parenting through those wonderful teen years. I'm back. Again. After taking a break from meetville I find myself once again back here. Although this is not a bad place to be, its really not my intent to stay here for long.With that said, I'll give a brief description of me and what I am about.I am a single mom of 2 kids, although they aren't kids anymore. Both are over 20. I own my own home, car, work full time at a job I love. In my spare time I enjoy going to the gym, although I don't get there as often as I'd like. working long hours, house maintenance inside and out take up many of the 48 hours that I am not at my "paid" job.So if I find myself too exhausted from a long day at work, I enjoy sitting on my deck listening to nature, having a glass of wine and just decompress.I love going for walks, biking, sitting on an out door patio, going by the canal, taking a drive in the country, cooking a meal with someone over a glass (or 2) of wine, campfires, sitting by the water, enjoying nature. Simple things.I like to travel although haven't had many opportunities to do so. I do plan on travelling hopefully in the near future. Family and friends are very important to me. I will defend them and anyone else. I will especially protect anyone vulnerable - animals, children, elderly - without a second thought.Truth, honesty, respect is #1 for me. If you can't offer that in a relationship (friendship or romantic), then it wont work. Physical attraction will spark my interest, but sense of humour, personality and charm will keep my attention! Looking for someone genuine, who has a positive attitude, a great sense of humour, is laid back and doesn't take himself or life too seriously . If there is a spark and we connect, everything else will fall into place.It could be my old fashioned values but there's nothing more attractive than a confident guy who takes initiative. :0)I've put dating on here as what I am looking for but ultimately I would like to have a relationship. I am a successful, hardworking, single mom. I believe that I am unique in the fact that I still love to listen to all the newest music (the heavier...the better!), wear the latest styles and do as many spontaneous fun things I can think of!! I refuse to age gracefully! I went back to college last fall. I still hope someday of completing my bachelors degree in Business Management. I love to go camping, hiking, dirt racing, secret rendevous, drive-in movies or even a walk down the outlet trail. I'd rather be outside! Hot or cold, plan any activity and I'll be there!!! My idea of a great first date would be to pick me up in a t-shirt & jeans with a couple of fishing poles, maybe some music and a six pack. Then drive to your favorite fishing spot! That would be a great way for us to get to know each other! I would prefer later in the day as maybe if everything is going well we can snuggle up under a blanket and watch the fish "not" bite! I am not a squeemish woman! I will bait my own hook, take off my own fish and if you show me I will even clean the fish! Getting dirty does not bother me. Don't get me wrong. I love to get all dressed up with makeup and the whole nine yards. But I am a real woman and getting dirty is just as fun!
