I am very active and enjoy most outdoor activities. I run, cycle, hike, swim, and I like to do races of all kinds. I'm not competitive; I like the medals :) These are the sorts of things I like to do in my spare time. I also enjoy traveling and checking out new places locally, out of state, and even internationally. I'm not much of a tv watcher, but I do like movies--sometimes. I enjoy reading probably more than watching tv, and reading is pretty much part of my job anyway. I also enjoy good conversation. I like to hear and consider different viewpoints, but I do not like to argue. A sense of humor is essential, as is a social life. I'd like to be with someone who is comfortable meeting and hanging out with my friends, but who wants to include me in his circle of friends, as well. When it comes to dating, I am very picky about three things: having things in common, feeling comfortable, and having chemistry. All three gotta be in place.I really hate writing this laundry list. I know it's necessary, but it makes me come across as very stiff and pragmatic. Don't get me wrong, I'm definitely cursed with a Type-A personality for some things, but when dealing with people, especially someone I'm dating, I love to laugh, have a good time, make jokes, and just enjoy our time together. I can usually do a pretty good job of keeping the type-A stuff under control ;) A quick and painless drink together just to see if there's a connection.

Maybe a movie that we both are interested in to help us relax with each other, but then we need a chance to talk. Sometimes it's nice to meet over a cup of coffee or a drink and talk. I also like to sit and talk with a good beer,(maybe wings).. First dates don't always have to be the same and don't have to be limited to certain things. But should always be in a public location.
