Honesty, respect and loyalty ~ is a MUST...I am interested in learning every day of my existance. Life is an open book. I love to meet new people, strike up conversations with strangers, use my sense of humor to make peoples day, and above all respect peoples individuality. I consider myself very free-spirited and open to learning new things, meeting new people, and going new places. I love bon-fires, hot sunny places, water, sand, outdoor festivals, motorcycling, boating,jet-sking, traveling, weekend get-a-ways, quaint little towns, exciting shopping experiences, dining at unusual restaurants, meeting interesting-unique indiviuals from other cultures and trying new adventures.. of all kinds. I am very organized & energetic, a social butterfly, as well as a bargain hunter- love to attend flea markets, auctions, and rummage sales and all sorts of festivals...I was in the antique resale business for nearly 18 years as a hobbie, Many other hobbies as well.. truely a multi-tasker.I find myself eager to get to know and understand people from all walks of life. I have tons of compassion for animals and the elderly, and anyone in need of help. I tend to over extend myself often and am always on the go. I love to shop, dress up,(co-owner of a clothing store for many years) enjoy entertaining others in my home, traveling and see the world, just a simple picnic lunch at a park on a blanket. A simple woman...who possesses morals, ethics and values. I am a news junkie and tend to need to know what is going on in this mixed up world. Hate reality Television, but love game shows and old shows from the 70's.I thrive on being a problem solver and am always open to suggestions and constructive criticism. I LOVE hats...of all kinds, get some weird looks sometimes, but I dont care, its' me....I am extremely independent & very self-sufficient. Come from a family of work-a-holics and perfectionsist, Not real unlikable virtures in my book...I have held down good jobs, always strive for a better way of life.Have had nothing handed to me in life, but am proud of who I am and my accomplishments. I am an extremely GENEROUS person ~I often find myself helping others who are less fortunate. Can't stand individuals who sap off the system or are poor parents and set poor examples for their children.- Took a buy-out from GMAD a few years back after 10 years ..Preparing for a State Board Test for Nursing Home Administration and then on to my next career choice in life. I try to live life to the fullest and treat others like I would like to be treated. My compassion for the elderly is a big part of who I am..Excellent Grandparents, with only the fondest of memories.I LOVE 70's music then 80's..not much for country but can handle it. Also LOVE hard rock.. Sort of an old school Rock-n-Roller.. Hate rap. Enjoy southern rock,Jazz, Blues, and seeing local bands & comedy shows. I am quite a talker and strike up a conversation rather easily. I have an quirky sense of humor and proudly display it. I love to laugh,and have a great time doing whatever the day may bring. I hate arguing, drama, control freaks, game players, liars, cheaters, and people who suck the happiness out of other's lives. I am looking for a great friendship, then getting to know someone special better. I have spent a great deal of my adult life in long-term relationships. No regrets and am friends with all the individuals I have spent years with. No children here, never been married, but plan to find that special person/man some day. I feel you cannot plan on finding something like that, if it is meant to be,...it will be....fate will tell.Being happy and learning everyday is a productive way of living and being. ... I find it important to have that special someone on your mind when you are apart. Someone who never goes to sleep mad, and wakes up happy..."     I'm very active and have a full life but I'm looking to make room for that special person. I like to do a lot of things including working out, jogging, biking, skiing, gardening and painting. I will try just about anything once. I do value my life and I'm not a big risk taker - you won't find me bungee jumping, jumping out of planes, etc. I love the outdoors. Prefer the summer weather but love to ski so I adore snow but hate bitter cold. I love a great conversation but I'm not looking to be in the midst of a constant debate. I'm a liberal politically.I'm very crafty and handy. My father was killed when I was very young and my mother never remarried. There wasn't a ton of extra money in our household so I learned how to do things for myself. As such I'm very independent. I'm a great partner but if you're looking for a damsel in distress or someone who needs saving it's not me. If you're easily intimidated by an independent woman, who doesn't need saving but would certainly liked to be saved - all the while saving you too, perhaps we're a good match. I'm a bit of a neat freak. I'm easy going and easy to laugh.We all have baggage. I have mine but I'm not angry and I don't want to be around someone who is. You also must love dogs and kids.     It's been way too long since I've had anyone to chill and play backgammon or ***Rummy with. Wanna play? In general, I'm a very happy and playful person. I can kick back, lounge around and be mellow, but I also like to get up an go. I love music, and have taken a few guitar lessons, but due to my apparent lack of self-discipline in practicing, it appears that my guitar-playing skills are going to progress verrrrry slowly. I'm a good listener though (to both music and to people in general). In music, I love lyrics.; BAD (old school). These are just a few off the top of my head - there are so many amazing artists out there and I like a wide variety of them. I've never been married, no children. Committment issues? Hmmmmm. I've been practicing yoga for over 15 years now and am amazed and amused by what I'm still learning from it. I'm doing a little volunteer work with it as well these days with a non-profit called Living Yoga: http://living-yoga.org/I'm a very fair weather outdoors gal, and enjoy riding my bike a lot in the summer; it's a 7-speed cruiser, so nothing too crazy.-assed). I love animals, and I do worry about the environment. I have a car, but I definitely "plan trips" and try to use public transportation on a regular basis. Been here 11.5 years and still not tired of the clouds and rain - they're peaceful to me. Seriously? I'd like to sit down at a bar, perhaps an outdoor patio, with a deck of cards or a backgammon board and play a few games. I'm not kidding! Plenty of time to chat and have a beverage or two while we play.
