Okay...where to begin? I'm a single mom, ready to finally begin the next adventure that life has waiting for me. I step out here with some trepidation. Its a scary place, the "singles scene". But nothing worth having ever came easy, and I've always heard "do it afraid, but DO IT". So, we begin.I am intelligent, educated and at least somewhat cultured. I am the kind of person that appreciates the whole of a person...every aspect that makes them who they are. I find common ground with others quite easily. Definitely NOT shy, adventurous, risk-taking. I've been told I have a great sense of humor and often enjoy playing practical jokes, mostly on those I know well. I believe in destiny, though I ALSO believe we each have multiple destinies to choose from. I enjoy just about all types of music to one degree or another, and am always open to learning to appreciate any type of music that I may not previously have had to opportunity to learn about. I love to get dressed up and go dancing, (I'm a child of the 70's, after all), but also really enjoy hangin out with a good movie on the couch. As for sports...football, basketball and recently hockey. Not much interest in things like baseball and golf...way too slow and not enough action. I love kissing....and that's all ALL I will say in that direction....hmmmmmmm.Here's the deal: I'm a rare find. I say this because I know it. Not being overly egotistical or narcissistic, just sayin, right up front, that I know my own worth. I am not looking to settle for just anyone, but I also realize that if I don't get out there and meet at least a few "just anyones", I have very little hope of finding that special one. Not going to box in "my type", but there are naturally at least a few traits that draw me closer than others, those being: intelligence AND common sense at the same time (its really very sexy), compassion, a healthy ego, good driver. What I find hot and sexy covers a broad spectrum...remember, I appreciate the WHOLE of a person...I will say that good looks, without a brain, are worthless...That's as much as I wish to commit to so far....everything else will just have to be discovered in time. Meh, personally, I'd rather have the guy suggest, but ok.....drinks or a lite bite to eat somewhere thats quiet enough that we can hear eachother sprek...

This is a crazy way to start off a friendship. I know it. You know it. But let's face it, it is almost unavoidable- so here we are... Reading profiles, trying to separate the lies from the exaggeration. And the exaggeration from the truth. Cool and scary. Not to mention that meetville considers a grown man/woman having his/her OWN CAR an added bonus *** just assuming everyone has a car! Thanks meetville!!!Here goes: I have been divorced for a long time. My kids are ALMOST grown. I live in a pretty small town and it is a difficult place to find single men but a great place to raise kids. So it was a trade off. I figure I am supposed to say: I like the mountains AND the beach.I'm equally comfortable in flip flops or 4" heels. And I'm probably supposed to say I love jeans and my favorite little black dress equally. And I love a cold beer and a nice merlot. At least that's is what they *** in online dating 101. But, seriously? I have a ton of interests and I'm open to lots more- with the right person- all of life is a lot more fun- enjoyable- exciting... Probably coffee or a baseball game.

"Risk more than others think is safe. Care more than others think is wise. Dream more than others think is practical. Expect more than others think is possible." -- Simple days are as enjoyable as exotic retreats ... I love both. I'm not afraid to get my hands dirty but I'm not especially fond of beer. Certainly I don't mean to imply that dirt and beer go together! In fact, I don't like beer at all and I'm quite fond of dirt! Just for the record, it wouldn't bother me at all if you didn't like dirt but were quite fond of beer. Although, I do clean up "ok" after playing in the dirt so ... you must know when to stop drinking the beer. When there isn't Vodka, Rum or Tequila ... Scotch is good. ;-)I have two very special young men in my life who are loved by all who know them. Kids are great and I am proud to say that my two are a delight. I'm the worlds "meanest" Mom and my boys respect me for it; and I think they love me just a tad bit more because the cuddles and our genuine relationship mean more at the end of the day than my being their "best friend". It is not my job to raise good children; it is my job, however, to raise two good adults. After all, kids are quite good at being kids all by themselves! I love to travel, try new things and at the end of the day if I've made a handful of money and a couple of new friends then ... it was indeed a very good day.I don't do favorites of anything and I try to spread my world as far as the pizza roller will let the dough go. A little lump of dough will indeed make a VERY big pizza ~ if you put some elbow grease into it! My life philosophy - The key to life is moderation; anything in excess can't possibly be good for you! However, sometimes that is a very difficult philosophy to stick with! Now where did I put those darn keys?PLEASE NOTE: The following list is not presented in any particular order of importance and does not necessarily represent a complete list of what I do or do not enjoy doing, seeing, participating in or will try at least once ... or twice.~.. generally with a body of water in my own backyard ... currently it's in the front yard! ~~~~Things I like: Dancing (Didn't say I was any GOOD at it!), Art, Photography & Digital Design, Home Decorating & Remodeling, Creating with textiles, Commercial Marketing, Making Gifts for friends and family, Animals (AKA: Critters), Science & History, Cooking, Conversation, Web Design, Hunting for Morels, Fishing, Water Aerobics, Pilates, Travel, Anything that involves The Great Outdoors.Things I love: Anything with/for/about the two young men that call me Mom, GOOGLE, gardening &.. Pondering Tomorrow, Galatians 5:***"Never make someone a priority when all you are to them is an option." ~ Maya Angelou Since I don't do favorites, I guess diversification is key to my ideal anything... if I seek pleasure, I just start poking around. Engaging is the only way to know and discover, encompass or fulfill. That would be the same with meeting people for the first time(s). I'm skeptical about the "love" at first sight phenomenon ... you may "like" at first sight but "love" at first sight is doubtful. The senses will enlighten those looking for a key.Sight ~ a most amazing gift from GodSound ~ can waken the inner spirit and calm a perceived frightTouch ~ amazingly diverse; typically insatiableTaste ~ fleeting yet captivatingSmell ~ the most erotic and mesmerizing of them allSharing of the senses can be the bee's knees! ;-)Gentlemen ... I'm finding it very difficult to return notes that just say, "Good Morning", "Hi, how are you?" Or better yet, "Hello!" I certainly don't mean to move outside your comfort zone here, but I'm thinking that there certainly are enough conversation opening leads in my profile for you to open your minds a little bit and hit me with something that can actually lead to a conversation. I can always tell if you've made it this far into my profile by your message! LOLYes, the raccoons are real and the $10 bucks were all ready mine ... I'd like to know what YOU would do for $10 bucks?
