Hmmmm.... I always find it difficult to write about myself, I am much more of a talker. Really enjoy having a good conversation and laughing over a glass of wine or drink, with easy listening music in the background. I enjoy life and all that it brings. My sons are very important to me and there is not anything I wouldn't do for them. I love and embrace the people in my life and feel that each day is a gift. I love to go out dancing and enjoy all types of music, especially classic rock and oldies/Motown. I do enjoy playing poker and going to the casinos, as well as working out. I am very social and very much enjoy going out and meeting people. As much as I like going out, I do enjoy hanging out at home with someone who enjoys the same: watching movies, playing cards and, cooking together. I love to entertain and plan parties- love to see family and friends having a good time. I enjoy taking rides on the weekends and exploring new areas- especially if they involve wineries. Love to explore and try new wines on a sunny afternoon. Although I love to have a good time and lots of fun, I can be serious when necessary. I like to be creative, such as make jewelery ,cards, gifts and cook. I also like to take walks especially in the woods weather permitting. In the fall one of my favortie things to do is have bonfires. My friends and I get together and do that often. I don't drink, and I don't mind that others do however going to bars or watching people get drunk is not for me. My family is very important to me and I spend a lot of time with them and we get together on all of the holidays. The fall and christmas time are my favorite seasons. I have been accussed of pooping snowflakes and glitter at this time of year and oddly enough, I am ok with that. I enjoy lots of types of music but primarily new country. i am a big fan of movies and though I like to go out and do things when it is nice out I also enjoy staying home eating in, playing games or having parties especially when it is nasty out. I have a litte dog Lola, she is not a yip yip dog and has no idea she is 5 lbs. I don't dress her up in clothes or paint her nails, I let her be a dog which she likes to do.;dressing up " ha ha). I am currently going back to school to be an Occupational Therapist; I want to work with special needs kids that suffer from autism, fragile x, ausbergersect. I would also like to touch up on my sign language and eventually put that to use with deaf children. Professionally I have done the creative thing, not a lot of money in that. I have done the coorporate thing, money and not a lot of self satisfaction.. I am now working towards a career that can offer me both. As far as "what I am looking for" since that seems to be a question of he day. I want someone that I am attracted to. I want to be with someone that I laugh with all the time without trying. Someone who is more interested in having a relationship then talking about it. Honesty and kindness goes without saying. though I have never met a dishonest and mean person who actually said hey I am dishonest and mean, which kind of goes to the point.LOL. I told a friend of mine I would put his one line description of me on here, no editorials,, he said "I am refined but not too refined" I jokingly said oh so you can dress me up but can't take me anywhere huh? and he said nope. You can dress me up an take me anywhere but are not required to do so. Then I got embarrassed and now I am over this self describing exercise. : ) meet for coffee, or possibly dinner and hopefully laughter. proj

I'm a bright, funny, and warm person. My friends say I'm a good listener and many of them trust me with their problems and confidences. I'm also very interested in the world and what happens in it, politically, socially, spiritually. I love to learn new things and meet people from different backgrounds. This carries over into my dining choices -- love trying new cuisines although I always ask for very mild on the heat scale. My hopes/plans for the future include finding my next vocation (where my deep joy and the world's deep needs intersect), traveling to Europe and maybe Africa and the Middle East,and continuing to find ways to express my creativity.The man I'd like to meet would be past the stage of needing to prove himself to the world or himself, but still have a passion for life and his partner and serving others. He may be athletic or not, but will have a keen interest in the life of the mind and the spirit as well as physical health. He will be physically and verbally affectionate, as I am, and have a kind and generous personality. After e-mailing or messaging for a few days, we've spoken on the phone. We laughed together a lot and want to meet in person, so we schedule dinner or drinks someplace pretty casual, or someplace with fun stuff to do. Like, a walk on the canal, or at the IMA, or a bookstore. When we've both arrived, we hug briefly, then sit, our eyes meeting. The server comes by WAY too early and asks if we need more time. Um, YES. We make the server go away one more time before choosing from the menu. As we eat, we find more things we have in common. Maybe your dad was a gearhead like mine (did he run through the house snatching blankets off the beds to protect his cars when it hailed?). Or maybe your first girlfriend had Farrah hair like I did in 7th grade). After dinner (I'll expect to pay for mine, but if you insist I'll probably give in)we'll walk together or check out an exhibit or head for the bookstore and share some of our favorite sections/authors together. When it's time to go home,you walk me to my car. We can both sense the warmth and energy of our connection beginning. As you say goodnight you lean down and kiss me to check out our physical connection. We both go home grinning and thinking about our next date.That's just one way things could go...what are YOUR first date ideas?
