I'm a bright, funny, and warm person. My friends say I'm a good listener and many of them trust me with their problems and confidences. I'm also very interested in the world and what happens in it, politically, socially, spiritually. I love to learn new things and meet people from different backgrounds. This carries over into my dining choices -- love trying new cuisines although I always ask for very mild on the heat scale. My hopes/plans for the future include finding my next vocation (where my deep joy and the world's deep needs intersect), traveling to Europe and maybe Africa and the Middle East,and continuing to find ways to express my creativity.The man I'd like to meet would be past the stage of needing to prove himself to the world or himself, but still have a passion for life and his partner and serving others. He may be athletic or not, but will have a keen interest in the life of the mind and the spirit as well as physical health. He will be physically and verbally affectionate, as I am, and have a kind and generous personality. After e-mailing or messaging for a few days, we've spoken on the phone. We laughed together a lot and want to meet in person, so we schedule dinner or drinks someplace pretty casual, or someplace with fun stuff to do. Like, a walk on the canal, or at the IMA, or a bookstore. When we've both arrived, we hug briefly, then sit, our eyes meeting. The server comes by WAY too early and asks if we need more time. Um, YES. We make the server go away one more time before choosing from the menu. As we eat, we find more things we have in common. Maybe your dad was a gearhead like mine (did he run through the house snatching blankets off the beds to protect his cars when it hailed?). Or maybe your first girlfriend had Farrah hair like I did in 7th grade). After dinner (I'll expect to pay for mine, but if you insist I'll probably give in)we'll walk together or check out an exhibit or head for the bookstore and share some of our favorite sections/authors together. When it's time to go home,you walk me to my car. We can both sense the warmth and energy of our connection beginning. As you say goodnight you lean down and kiss me to check out our physical connection. I'm a 46 yr old Mama of 2 adult children & Grandma of 3 adorable Grandsons!!! I've been married twice. The 1st one lasted 6 yrs & was married for 15 yrs the 2nd go around. Although I've been single for many years; I'm just now stepping out from behind the wall I've built & learning how to be single again. Whole lot tougher being single now than it was many yrs ago; but, just cause it’s tougher it doesn’t mean that I’m gonna settle!!!!
