About Me

Who am I? I am a mother, a daughter, a good friend, but most of all I am Lori. My daughters are the most important thing in my life, it has been such a gift to raise them and watch them grow into such beautiful women. Now that they are grown it is time for me. I enjoy spending time with friends and family doing most anything. I like walks in the woods and bike riding, and finding that next adventure. I take my job serious and work hard, but make time to play just as hard. I also enjoy my quiet time and keeping things simple. I love someone who can make me laugh till I cry but also enjoy being able to have a serious conversation, where listening comes from both sides. We all have different opinions and I respect that and hope to get the same respect in return. What am I looking for? I don't want to walk behind someone or in front of them but to be by their side and have my hand held, I find that so comforting. That someone that can make me smile with just his smile, sometimes words are not needed. At times I am a bit quirky and things don't always come out of my mouth like I plan, I laugh out loud, and I love a good joke, and tend to startle easily. I look for someone who is playful and isn't afraid to act like kids once in awhile. Sometimes I may appear a bit rough around the edges but once you get to know me you realize I wear my heart on my sleeve, and am delicate, and yes, at times you may see me sniffling at a commercial. I look for that person to share myself with, the one who is happy with just who I am. At this point in life I am me and that I will not change nor do I want anyone to change for me.I do not believe in regrets as life experiences and lessons are what have made me who I am today. I have learned life is short through the lost of loved ones and I try to live my life for each new day, we only get one chance at life so I'm going to enjoy it. It's not how our lives end but rather what we do before with get there that makes it worthwhile."I wanted a perfect ending.     I am on this site because I thought it would be a good way to meet new people, make some new friends, and possibly/hopefully meet the guy that will be the Tommy to my Gina. (don't know what that means? just ask :-)I've put quite a bit of time into being a caregiver and am ready for someone to pull me back into the mainstream. I enjoy movies, amusement parks, zoos, car shows/events, walks, drinks and a (bad) game of pool, and pretty much anything in the right company.As far as age goes, it's just a number.
