Hello,I have 2 kids... one is 17 and pretty much does her own thing, and I have a 12 yo son who still enjoys hanging out with mom every once in a while. I like going local and state parks, hiking the trails, fishing, and doing volunteer work.I've been a runner for over 30 years, I weight train, and I like to geocache, ...which is part exploring in nature and part techy ....I also play a couple of *** try to eat healthy and as organic as possible. Being healthy is important to me. Trying to withstand the effects of aging for as long as possible. It seems that every time I run into someone from high school, they always recognize me...and I never recognize them. So maybe it's because I haven't grown older looking since then, or it's because I never grew up, lol.I tend to be pretty opinionated on certain issues that are important to me, but am more than willing to listen to other viewpoints. I consider myself a person who sticks up for others almost to a fault. I guess the hardest part of dating for me is that I'm an extremely nice and honest person. I keep expecting and I know there's got to be a man out there that is just as honest and nice as I am...that is kind to others, optimistic and fun. I don't treat people who are currently in my life based on how I've been treated in the past. It seems that there are too many people out there that are extremely guarded by what they have experienced. For me, every day is a fresh start. I am very "low maintenance" and down to earth type of woman. I'm not into shopping in stores or buying tons of clothes...there are better ways I like to spend money. I'm financially prudent and stable...not looking for some guy to support me. But, I also don't need a financial leech as well...that's what my kids are for, lol. I have a great sense of humor and use it to help in difficult times by making light of just about any situation. I would like to meet guys who are active, have a great sense of humor, are honest, enjoy life, and are optimistic. Finally, I am looking for someone to have a relationship with. I am not looking for a FWB or a one night stand...so, if that is your intention, please move on. Don't waste my time or yours. Thank you....so, I'm keeping my profile up for now, but might be looking elsewhere for my new best friend. Due to the uncertainty of the future, I'm still looking to meet new people, but not looking to get into a LTR until I've "settled down". I'm looking for my best friend who wants to have a normal, happy life and home. Someone to grow old with. You could say I want what my parents had. My kids are grown except for my 18 year old still in school. I'm a kid at heart, I love life and feel I have been blessed with wonderful family and friends. I'm a pretty content person and I don't need someone to "make me happy", if that makes sense, yet I want to have someone with whom to share all life has to offer. I was married at the age of 20 and spent over 20 years hoping things would get better. Being married to an alcoholic, I don't have tolerance for heavy drinkers and drunks, I don't like being around them. It's not that I have anything against someone having an occasional drink, I can count on 1 hand how many drinks I've had in the last ***years, I can live without it. My faith is pretty important to me, it has gotten me through the tough times and has helped mold the person I am. I like animals, I volunteered last year at the Human Society's "Walk for Animals" along with my daughters. I've thought about volunteering at the humane society. I have one dog, my daughter has a cat and bird.I like Saturday and Sunday mornings, not being in a hurry to go anywhere, having my first cup of coffee with the sun streaming through the window. When it's not winter out, I like sitting outside in the morning with my coffee and listening to all the outdoor sounds. My favorite seasons are probably spring and fall. Summer is good too. Listening to music while working, cleaning, dancing with my grand daughter in the living room, I like most kinds of music, especially songs with meaning to them. One Republic is probably one of my favorites lately. And I will sing out loud sometimes, much to my 18 year old's dismay, I am pretty sure I sometimes mouth the words to songs at work too, when I have my earphones on. As long as no one hears me. Gardening is a hobby that I have been missing some. I am stuck with container gardening for now, working towards buying my own house, I don't care too much for apartment living, I miss having a yard to work in. Gardening is a good release after a day at work, getting my hands in the dirt. It's peaceful and a wonderful stress reliever and a good place to have a silent talk with God while pulling weeds....

I am a kind caring woman that loves the outdoors I like to hunt fish and camp I am willing to try new ideas it may take me time and a little persuading because I am shy but once you get to know me I am a really outgoing person.
