****************************** Hi- thanks for checking out my page! I am trying this site in hopes of meeting a great guy - maybe even one who I can eventually share my life with. I am an independent single mom of a beautiful teenage daughter. She is my biggest accomplishment in life. She's a good girl and gives me no trouble. Her dad is actively involved in her life, so I'm not looking for a replacement dad- but rather someone who can become a part of our lives in a positive and loving way.I am an established career woman who enjoys the balance of both work and home. I keep my house neat and tidy. I actually enjoy mowing grass and doing yardwork. I love dogs, am allergic to certain cats. I like trying new restaurants, but I will also cook for you! I am not opposed to having a man cook for me- or we can cook together-- thats kind of hot in my opinion ;). I'm affectionate and want the same in a partner. Kisses, Hugs, TLC, PDA's***all right up my alley;)I must mention-- I feel that communication is the KEY to a successful relationship. Talk it out :). I am a good listener, and I have quite a few friends who tell me I have a "gift" in that department. But I certainly do my share of talking, too. I avoid drama like the plague and will try hard not to create any for you :) I am social, outgoing and want nothing more than meeting someone who makes me laugh, makes me smile at little things he does, and wants a loving normal relationship. **** Things I like include reading, movies with decent plots, taking walks in the park - especially on crisp fall days, going to the beach and watching the sun rise across the ocean, and spending time with my daughter. I enjoy an occasional flea market and the challenge of finding that 'one great deal'. (Don't knock it til you try it!!!)I like building a fire in my woodstove on a chilly evening, and snuggling on the couch with that "special someone". I love physical closeness and intimacy. I enjoy traveling and sightseeing- anything from a day road trip (planned or unplanned***to planes, trains and automobiles! I think cruises are fun and hope to take a few more in my lifetime. I enjoy listening to all types of music, but I really connect with the 80's. I enjoy sports like baseball, basketball and football.... Go Ravens, Orioles and Terps! I believe every relationship must have chemistry plus the ability to develop a friendship. Isn't that what LOVE is? Great Chemistry plus making a best friend? I really hope to find that mix!!     So tired of all the games that r played on these sites. But a friend suggested i try this one. ....im a very open person. At times the filter between my brain and mouth doesnt work very well. If i think it, i speak it. I know what i want as much as i know what i donot want. Im not looking for someone to take care of me, i can do that on my own. Im looking for someone who is down to earth and knows how to treat others. I believe in treating the one i am with like he is my equal and showing him how much he means to me. I believe in taking care of myself, i.e. dressing appropriately for the occasion, my hair and makeup are done when i leave the house, i usually have my nails done, and ive recently started back to the gym. No, im not high maintenance, but i do believe if i can do these things for myself, then im going to. I can be classy, yet be just as comfy wearing sweats with my hair thrown up. Im just me, and its worked for me thus far. I try not to be judgemental, but that can be hard at times. Im 100% czechoslovakian, and that fire in me really comes out when it comes to my children/grandchildren. I hold those that i care for fiercely close and they are my number one concern. I guess im looking for that one who can take my breath away...i will know it when he comes along! That first "date" can be so awkward, which is why i like to get to know someone via phone calls/texts first before we do the meeting thing. You can actually find out alot about each other during a conversation if you just listen.
