I finally have time for myself, I have 2 boys who are 21 & 20. Both have great jobs & can take care of themselves. So with that said, I finally have my life back and can do what I want :) I still love hanging out with my kids but that seems to be few & far between, they are wrapped up with their own social life LOL. I don't watch too much TV but my favorite show is SON'S OF ANARCHY - never miss it!!I am self-sufficient, independent, way too honest, I have a great sense of humor, family & friends are very important to me.Looking for a man who only wants to date one person at a time & can make me laugh are important qualities! I am an intelligent, fun, adventurous and playful woman. Not afraid to be alone but would prefer to have someone that I can be close to and share my thoughts and experiences with. I'm not sure exactly if I am looking for a long term relationship. I am looking for someone to spend time with that has the same interests. Someone I can relax with, laugh with, have fun with, and simply enjoy life. Mostly I am looking for someone I can be myself with. If I can find someone out here like that then committing myself to that someone would come naturally. I have a tough job that can be very stressful and demanding at times and downtime with alot of fun and laughing is a must for me. I enjoy outdoor activities but I also love staying in. In my opinion cooking dinner together with a person you care about and snuggling up on the couch with a good movie is just as fun, if not more, than going out. I LOVE music with a passion (just about everything except newer rap music) and can honestly say that if I had the choice to be blind or deaf (God Forbid!) I would pick being blind over being deaf any day. I have to have music in my life and feel that I would probably go crazy without it. There is nothing like getting in your car and turning up the radio to a favorite song and singing along at the top of your lungs after a bad day at work. It just *** my mood and makes me feel better. I could live without my television. I could NOT live without my radio! LOL. I also love to read and read anything from science fiction, horror, suspense, fiction, biographies, history, and the paranormal. I have many favorite authors from all types of genres. I love to paint (oils are okay but I prefer acrylics), but I haven't had much time for it lately. I am also trying to teach myself how to play guitar (it's been a painful experience so far...LOL.) I love the outdoors especially in the fall season. I love going to the park. I love bird watching and have several bird feeders around my house. I guess that's something that I do because it reminds me of my Mother. I love going to plays, the ballet, the symphony, art and history museums (the side of me that loves culture). But I also love going to live concerts (especially harder rock) and have been to so many I have lost count (the side of me that loves the unrefined), singing karaoke with my girlfriends, going to movies, etc.. I try to spend as much time as I can with them. And I also love going to the zoo.As I said, I have a tough job but I am totally in love with it. It is actually something that happened by accident. I couldn't have imagined myself doing it but now that I am I couldn't imagine myself doing anything else! I prefer to think that I am unique. I am not looking to trap anyone, smother anyone, or make them feel like they are accountable to me for every minute outside of my presence. I have my own likes and dislikes, my own interests. My world will not revolve around you as yours should not revolve around me. I believe you should not become so wrapped up in someone else that you forget that you are your own person and have your own identity. I believe in sharing your life and experiences with someone, not living your life and experiences through someone. In having your own interests and keeping your own identity, I believe you have more to share and offer to a relationship. I would like to say that although I believe it's important to have your own interests, and even healthy to spend time away from each other, spending time with the person I care about is also important to me. I am a very loyal person. When I care about something I care deeply. And when I love someone I love deeply. I am a very "touchy feely" type of person. I'm not afraid to show physical affection. I love to touch, hug, kiss, hold hands...So the person I am looking for would naturally have to feel comfortable with that and would not be afraid to initiate physical affection on their own. I'm looking for someone who is not afraid to talk. Good conversation is important. I know in life you can't get eveything you want but I would love to find someone who wants to share themselves such as their thoughts, feelings and life experiences. This is what makes life interesting and what makes you who you are. I can be opinionated and I am not afraid to voice it at times. Of course I know there is a right time and a wrong time and also a right way and a wrong way to express it. I'm not rude or callous and would never say or do anything to hurt someone intentionally. I would hope for the same thing in the person I am looking for. Going to the zoo would probably be my first choice, although I have NEVER been able to get someone to take me to the zoo as an actual date. LOL. My second choice would probably be a picnic and maybe a walk in the park.
