About Me

I am looking for a long-lasting relationship. Not dating around, not multiple guys on the hook, not a hook-up. I want a connection, chemistry and compatibility in one relationship. I really want to find someone who is somewhere close to the stage of life I’m in (which, after plenty of dates with plenty of good guys of various ages I’ve come to see is related to age…lol…duh!) Hence the profile rewrite.I have to admit I’m a little hung up on age, but only because I work hard to stay fit and current and I’ve found that a lot of people (men and women) close to my age have sort of given up. I’m aging and it shows, but that’s not a free pass to quit caring about my health and appearance. I feel good about who I am right now. I’d like a similar attitude in my partner. You don’t have to be a triathlete, just practice healthy living habits. Both my kids are still living with me. My daughter is 20 and my son is 15. So, I’m still very committed to being a good mom, (and I find it really attractive if you’re into being a dad) but as they’ve gotten older I find myself with more time available to develop a social life…yay! :) I just rewarded myself with a birthday vacation in Vegas and loved it! (Posted some pics to my profile.) I want to do more traveling, but have always felt like the kids or the home should come first. I see that changing a lot in the next few years. I say this so you know I have time for you and that I want to make room in my life for the right man. I realize I can’t get a complete picture of who you are from a few paragraphs and some pictures, but I’m probably not going to respond to a guy who only posts one pic and doesn’t take the time to write more than, “Hit me up if you wanna know the rest.” C’mon…you have to at least try! There’s a lot more to me than what I’ve written here so please don’t think you know me just yet. If after reading my profile you think we are on the same page, please reach out. I promise not to be rude or stupid...unless you are…and even then, probably not. Lol. Thanks for reading. I think the first date is actually the second date. I mean, really, the first time you get together it's usually for coffee or a drink. Does that count? Well, maybe if it lasts longer than an hour or you kiss each other goodbye. I think a date is when you actually make a plan to do something together...like take a drive with no destination on a misty autumn morning when the sun is still trying to break through with a hot mocha in my hand, music in my ears, my hand on my guys thigh. No talking, just breathing it all in. You in?

I love to do bead work, hang out with my kids and go watch movies. I am open to doing new things, and i'm looking for someone who likes to get out, but who also likes to snuggle n watch a good movie, or do projects together. I am seeking a spiritual person, who brings out the best in me, and visa versa. I love all kinds of music, and i do love to go out once in a while and get my swerve on! I am unique for my sense of humor, and i have been through alot in life. Looking for something serious, but i'm not apposed to just a couple of dates. What ever works! My goals are to go back to school, start working with horses again, but to never, never stop learning! A first date with dinner and maybe a walk. Just to be able to go out on a normal date would be awesome! I'm open for suggestions, but no matter what, I would like to take it slow.

I am a happy person with a full life. I am looking for someone I can spend some of my free time with. I like trying new restaurants and enjoy many different types of food. I like staying active and being outdoors. I also enjoy road trips and flea markets, antique malls and junk shopping. St. Louis has a lot to offer and I like to explore new things to do around town.I like to think of myself as easy going and open minded. I try to enjoy life as much as possible. Life is to short to waste it on regret. Casual and easy is the way to go.

Are you're looking for an honest woman? Someone who won't lie to you, play games, cheat, be crazy, do drugs, whine, pout and fight? Well, I'm the one that will restore your faith in love and in women. I keep hearing men talk about some of the women they've dated and it just shocks me. I can't imagine acting the way some women do.I'm honest, open, understanding, loving, kind, intelligent, independent and have strong values. I love to laugh and make others laugh, I enjoy good conversation, travelling, reading, jazz music, art, stand up comedy and many other interests. I treat my boyfriends well - I tend to look for the good in each person and am extremely understanding. I give the benefit of the doubt and seek to understand the reason behind behaviors and prefer to talk things out rather than jump to conclusions and fly off the handle. I'm currently seeking a new exercise regime this summer and would love to have a partner to join me.Some of my favorite activities are reading --), playing with my doggie, sitting on the back deck enjoying nature, viewing the night sky, smelling fresh rain during a thunderstorm, visiting small towns and shopping in local shops, listening to or watching stand up comedy, drinking wine in front of a fire while listening to jazz, spending time with friends, walking/hiking/biking, and I love being on or near water! I enjoy most types of music except metal and gangsta rap, but I have to admit I'm not very fond of going to concerts....I'm not picky when it comes to physical characteristics - in fact, I tend to like men that have a little meat on their bones! :-) I like bald men or men with hair, I like facial hair or no facial hair. I'm seeking a man that is down-to-earth, kind, considerate, thoughtful, talkative, funny, laid-back, and intelligent. I don't care what kind of job you have or how much you make - just as long as you find some fulfillment from it and can support yourself.I'm looking for a long-term relationship, hoping to lead to marriage someday. However, I like to take things slow and truly develop a friendship leading to the LTR. I don't know if I believe in soulmates, but I do hope to marry someone that I can call my best friend. I believe that couples should boost each other, be there for each other, make each other better and be a team, a partnership...you and me against the world kind of thing. Oh and to explain my parenting situation - I have a 25 year old son that is currently living with me while he finishes his final year of college. Then he'll be off to another state to find his life. We're very close but obviously, he has his own life now.FYI: Not interested in long-distance relationship - To me, a great first date is a museum or fair (especially an art fair). It allows you to walk around and chat comfortably and yet fill in the "uncomfortable silences" that sometimes occur, with comments about the fair or museum exhibits. And of course, you'll know the first date was a success when you have NO CLUE about the exhibits you just walked past for an hour... :-)
