Update:I had this section filled out, then changed it and didn't write a lot, but wanted to give it another try. I'm on this site because I would like to meet someone special that I can get to know and, hopefully, build a relationship with. I have been on here for a few months and have a better feel for this site now. I am looking for someone who is honest, caring, intelligent (please be able to write more than a few words...it's hard talking to complete strangers, but easier if they include something about themselves) and who is truly looking for a relationship. I am not adverse to making friends on here either though. I completely understand that not all matches will work out, but please let me know honestly what is going on. I will do the same in return. I also do not like to feel like, if we have talked a couple of times that we are in some unspoken relationship. I do my best to get back to everyone, but I'm sure I've missed a few. Please also understand that, as a woman, I don't feel comfortable giving out my phone number in the first couple of messages as a general rule. I guess that men probably feel the same way. Also, while I totally understand that some people do not want to continue messaging on here forever, I also think that both people should be comfortable when getting in touch off of the site. I try to be sensitive to the needs of others and hope for the same. While I understand that some people become frustrated and, sometimes, even bitter by their experiences with online dating, I believe that for it to work out, they need to let go of those thoughts if they want a positive outcome. I hope this all makes sense. I judge each person on their own merits, not on what has happened with anyone else who I have talked to. A little bit about me: I'm a single mother with two beautiful daughters. I've been blessed to have been able to be home most of the time. They are now 16 and 20 and I have more flexibility. I have worked in the healthcare profession and, in the past few years, have had the opportunity to work with animals. Currently, I am building a home based business with my sister and would like to continue to work with animals in some regard. I enjoy being around most any type of animal. I've also done rescue work. There are so many unwanted animals out there with no home and I do what I can to help out. I'm confident, outgoing, laid back, kind, honest and treat others with respect. I don't hold grudges, have no drama going on in my life and enjoy life. I'm not looking for a relationship to fill any type of void. I'm looking for someone to share life with, but I'm not needy and believe in giving people their own space as well as together time in a relationship. For that to work, there has to be trust. I trust people until they give me a reason not to. I ask for the same in return. As much as I enjoy spending time together as a couple, I also enjoy time with my children, my family and some time with my friends...some alone time is nice also.
