I work a lot of hours and I do not have the typical Mon. - Fri. ***job, so it is hard to get out and meet new people. I have been in the same job for 21 years now and have actually learned to deal with the hours. I do like to get out and enjoy my free time when I have it. I have been in 2 long term relationships and a couple of short ones and would like to find someone that could turn into a long term realationship again. I do not plan to jump into anything with anyone over night. I hope to meet someone that I can get to know, realize how much we have in common, and someone who will bring new interest as well. I am a very loyal to my friends, family, work, and that special somone. I believe in blunt honesty no matter what the subject is. I am nowhere near perfect and would never expect that from anyone else as long as honesty is there. I enjoy a nice trip to the beach, but a cabin in the snow covered mountains would be my favorite. I do love to travel and hope to do much more. I have recently started enjoying art and music festivals and try to attend as many as I can. I enjoy just about any music but lean toward singer/songwriters in small venue. VERY casual. If I had the option, I would actually like to skip the first date. Not that I don't enjoy getting to know someone, it is just a nerve racking situation at times. That is why I prefer it to be casual. First meeting - yes that is a better term :) ....meeting at a local restaurant with an outdoor patio, enjoying a glass of wine or cold craft beer and some appetizers wearing the most comfortable jeans I own. If that goes well, there will be future opportunities for a more formal "date"

I didn't expect to get to my 40's and not be married! Still, somehow it happened. Sure, I'd love to meet "the one" here but I'm open to the possibilities, and I think women should take more chances. I've had women say "no" to first dates because I have a dog, or I didn't ***, or on a bigger scale, they didn't think we would be a good match in the long run. Short term dating can be fun, too. I say take a chance! You don't know someone well enough *not* to like them until you meet them. I enjoy finding an activity, like a concert, or a play, or a meetup event, but I'm also into grabbing coffee or a drink to sit down and get to know each other.
