Well, let's see... I'm really into my garden and house. I like the "do-it-yourself" approach to life, so I'm often splitting and stacking my own firewood or canning tomatoes, beans and salsa from my garden. I love being in the woods hiking, camping or drinking a g-n-t and painting my toenails by the river. I make a point of getting somewhere in nature at least a couple of times a week, especially in the summer. Its important to me to spend a lot of time with my family and friends. I'm really lucky to have such good ones and life is too short not to appreciate them every chance I get. I like my work/job and try to be good at it, but its not even remotely the most important thing in life to me. Never been big on the 9-5, 401k approach to life. I haven't dated in a while. Feeling settled and grounded now and wouldn't mind opening out into the world a bit more... Coffee... A drink... A walk by the river...

I am a single parent who has 2 kids who are getting old enough i can start thinking about going out and having a fun time. I enjoy getting out in nature, watching movies, just sitting around talking and people with a great sense of humor.I enjoy lots of different types of music including country, classic rock, and music from the 80s.I am looking forward to enjoying my personal time meeting some new interesting people. On a first date I would feel most comfortable meeting in a public place like a restaurant, coffee house or bar for a drink or dessert so we could just get to talk face to face and see if it seems like we could "click" as a couple or perhaps just pursue a friendship.

Oh, what to write here? I'm multi-faceted and oh-so-diverse. I've been an educator my entire adult life, in various capacities. I appreciate someone who is intellectually gifted, compassionate, and tolerant. I love reading, gardening, and photography. I love finding local music to enjoy with coffee. I'm a mama first, but my children are turning into teenagers, so their increasing autonomy means more availability for social time for me.My strengths: I'm a kick-ass single mom, raising my kids alone for all their lives. I'm responsible to a fault...I am cautious to make sure all my t's are crossed and i's dotted. I am happy to listen to others and take their views into perspective. Things you may find to be weaknesses: religion...this can be a bugaboo issue with me. I'm a bonafide agnostic, through and through, and I have little personal use for most organized religions. That doesn't mean I won't respect yours, but don't expect to win me over where religion is concerned, particularly Western religions. I do allow my kids to attend church if they like, though, so let that act as a testament to my open-mindedness on the subject. Now, with that out of the way...politically, I'm quite liberal. I openly admit having a hard time with most conservative-minded folks. If that's you, you may choose to scroll on by. Coffee. I'm a sucker for decent coffee.
