I'm entertaining company (at least I crack myself up) & genuine. The ability to initiate a clever conversation is extremely appealing. I enjoy speaking with smart people with a positive personality that are passionate about something. I love direct and decisive men with substance. I see myself with someone that naturally moves toward happiness.I have a grown up son that lives away from home.“Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.” Need Help?Exchange at least one brief *** or more of the following:(a) a sincere compliment(b) a witty comment about something in the other person's profile(c) A question that can be responded to (almost like a conversation)(d) Got nothing? How about something sincere or funny about yourselfI personally expect a phone call where we use our voices (texting adds delays due to wild misunderstandings, the inability to tell if someone is joking (I was!) and it is so much harder for you to close - because it's always going to be creepy making plans with someone that refuses to speak to you. But hey, your choice.)Let's meet for a drink or you can use this advice on someone else....damn.

Seriously, I might as well admit my love of fantasy, sci-fi, comics, & all things mythological, particularly Celtic & Norse, right up front. I enjoy movies, cross stitching, board games, & cards as well as ping pong, air hockey, bowling, & volleyball, not that I'm stellar at these but they're great fun. I like listening to classic rock, 80s rock, Celtic, & occasionally a bit of metal. I take pleasure in grilling for my friends, reading a good book, & gazing at the night sky. I'm also more a jeans & t-shirt (particularly clever/funny ones) kind of woman although it's fun to get 'gussied' up on occasion.I'm willing to share my honest thoughts (in a tactful way, of course), & I try to see the positives in life & practice gratitude. I'm a loyal & supportive friend & a devoted relative who tends to be a bit shy sometimes but warm nonetheless. One of my guiding pieces of wisdom is "There are few real reasons for true panic"; the other is "And yet I live." :-) Integrity, honor, & sincerity mean much to me, & I enjoy a good sense of humor ranging from silly to sarcastic. I love a good deep conversation, regardless of the topic, & appreciate someone who listens. Sharing at least some interests is important to me, but I also like being introduced to possible new areas of interest.Although my teaching career keeps me busy, I make time for fun, too! I like to travel here & there, & I've achieved some of my life goals - owning a home, traveling to the UK &- so I'm setting new ones. For ***, I'm learning to make chain mail, & I really want to take more pictures overall, capturing life's details & memorable moments. I'm trying to make the most of this phase of my life.In terms of relationship, I am open to casual & long-term dating. From there, we'll see. ;-) Meeting for a casual lunch or dinner sounds like a good start, offering an opportunity to get to know one another more.
