About Me

Seriously, I might as well admit my love of fantasy, sci-fi, comics, & all things mythological, particularly Celtic & Norse, right up front. I enjoy movies, cross stitching, board games, & cards as well as ping pong, air hockey, bowling, & volleyball, not that I'm stellar at these but they're great fun. I like listening to classic rock, 80s rock, Celtic, & occasionally a bit of metal. I take pleasure in grilling for my friends, reading a good book, & gazing at the night sky. I'm also more a jeans & t-shirt (particularly clever/funny ones) kind of woman although it's fun to get 'gussied' up on occasion.I'm willing to share my honest thoughts (in a tactful way, of course), & I try to see the positives in life & practice gratitude. I'm a loyal & supportive friend & a devoted relative who tends to be a bit shy sometimes but warm nonetheless. One of my guiding pieces of wisdom is "There are few real reasons for true panic"; the other is "And yet I live." :-) Integrity, honor, & sincerity mean much to me, & I enjoy a good sense of humor ranging from silly to sarcastic. I love a good deep conversation, regardless of the topic, & appreciate someone who listens. Sharing at least some interests is important to me, but I also like being introduced to possible new areas of interest.Although my teaching career keeps me busy, I make time for fun, too! I like to travel here & there, & I've achieved some of my life goals - owning a home, traveling to the UK &- so I'm setting new ones. For ***, I'm learning to make chain mail, & I really want to take more pictures overall, capturing life's details & memorable moments. I'm trying to make the most of this phase of my life.In terms of relationship, I am open to casual & long-term dating. From there, we'll see. ;-) Meeting for a casual lunch or dinner sounds like a good start, offering an opportunity to get to know one another more.
