I want to be me (God fearing, fun loving, romantic, nurturing, compassionate, happy) and I want to meet someone who will let me be me while enjoying who I am. With all the hype of pretending to be someone we're not, I would prefer to go some place where we are both very comfortable. Even if it requires bringing reinforcements. :) I want to get to know the real you, not the "first date" you. I am pretty much open to anything, but with summer upon us, a walk along the water or just hanging out would be just fine. However, if you prefer to meet for coffee, ice cream or even some bowling, I'd be up for that.

I like spending time with family and friends, jumping in the truck or on the bike and taking off for the day, or curling up on the couch with a glass of wine. Occasionally I like my alone time. I enjoy reading, camping, hiking, browsing antique malls and flea markets, taking road trips and photographing whatever catches my eye. I hate the gym, and prefer fun exercise, like walking, hiking, kayaking, Krav Maga... I like most any kind of music (except rap and heavy metal), and I enjoy live performances by jazz/blues/acoustic artists. I'm not afraid to get dirty and have been known to play in the rain. I wear jeans and t-shirts to work, so I love an opportunity to get dressed up for a night out. I am compassionate, giving and loyal almost to a fault. I express my opinions, stand up for principles I believe in, and respect others who do the same. I can be really sarcastic and silly, so you must be able to joke and have fun without getting offended or embarrassed. Ideally, I am looking for someone who is responsible, with a strong work ethic, but who can still be fun and spontaneous. I like a guy who's rough around the edges but cleans up when needed. I was not blessed with kids of my own, but I find little ones to be a perfect cure for a bad day, and they seem to find me equally entertaining. (Teenagers, well--they're a bit more of a challenge.) The more time I spend with my nephews and friends' kids, the more I realize what I'm missing. So don't be shy, dads--we'll get along just fine. :-)I've been quite independent for a lot of years now. As it turns out, it can get pretty lonely. I work evenings, but have long weekends, and would love to have someone to share them with. I recently bought a camp and look forward to fixing it up and spending lots of time there. There's even stuff to do in the winter. But I've got a motorhome, so we definitely have options! I've been accused of being a workaholic. This year I took serious steps toward changing that by taking more time for myself. Now I'd like some company...
