More of an extended essay... ??I work in an office during the week. Not my dream job, but it pays the bills. On the weekends, I am a volunteer at a small local zoo. I love being in the ocean, hiking, kayaking, exploring, digging, planting, building.I'm passionate about a lot of things - most importantly - equality among people, fairness, compassion, kindness, learning, and doing the right thing. I really enjoy learning about other cultures, religions, places.I have a hard time with closed-minded people.I am out-going, friendly, passionate, honest, loyal, adventurous, happy, mostly optimistic (although I do occasionally get irritated while driving -.. AAAAGHH!!), sarcastic, and smart. I have been married and divorced and don't feel the need to get married again, although I am not opposed to it. I don't have kids and I think I'm a little old to start that now, and am completely ok with that.I do have two cats and a rescue parrot who makes me laugh like nothing else!In the past ten years I have had a lucrative career in yacht financing, spent 3 years as a zookeeper at Lion Country Safari, and worked for a while as a stewardess on a 90ft yacht in the Bahamas. I'm not a vegetarian, but pretty close.I have owned a sailboat.I like to swim in the ocean.Sometimes my 'filter' doesn't work.I can be shy.I love camping - in a tent! I miss the mountains.I miss waves in the ocean.My brother is just about my favorite person in the world.Sometimes I curse to emphasize a point.I like to cook, but don't do it too often, it's no fun to cook for one.I've seen the Dalai Lama in person.I've seen the Grateful Dead in concert 3x (but I don't really remember!I love Indian food!I don't go to clubs.I have a terrible singing voice and will dance when I'm drunk.I don't drink often, but when I do, I drink tequila.My parents have been married for 46 years.I can use power tools.must make a note on my faith... Buddhist is probably closest to what I believe and attempt to practice, but I try to integrate the good of all religions into my life. If you have strong Christian beliefs, please know that we may have some differences in that regard. :) I am fit and am looking for the same. All of my pics are recent and look like me. I am 43 years old, 5'3", 110#. (People tell me I look mid-30's and I DON'T think I'm very photogenic)Please have more than one picture of you up, and pictures with hats and sunglasses don't count. Well, I'll go ahead get two things out of the way up front. I'm a plus size female. I'm not a thin person and I don't see me ever being that way. I'm not ENORMOUS, but I'm definitely not small. My pictures are recent and accurate.I am a Christian. I'm not in church every Sunday, but I do have a strong faith in God. Without Him, I'm nothing. I don't date non-Christians. I'm sorry. One more little comment.....what's with all of the photos without smiles. The "tough" pictures are really kind of sad. Please, attempt to smile in atleast one of your pictures. It's nice to know if you can be happy. LOL!Ok, NOW hopefully you're still reading. LOL! Now on to the basics. I have varied interests from music, to movies, the outdoors, family, friends, religion, etc. I am fairly open minded, kind hearted, and fun loving with a goofy sense of humor and I LOVE to laugh. I love my family and friends. I do love the outdoors and want to spend more time around the mountains and the water. 4-wheelers are great. It's been years since I have been on one but I love them. Horses are awesome too. I have pretty much stayed around the house the last several years but I'm finally opening up and coming into my own. I'm figuring myself out and want to start really enjoying life. I hope to find someone to share that with. I am looking to meet someone with a great sense of humor, not to serious, loves the outdoors, animals, kids, and God. I hope to find a companion and friend and maybe more. I love all kinds of music, especially the 80's. I have a daughter that is 18 and lives with me most of the time. I also have a 23 year old son.
