About Me

I'm not a woman you look at and think "wow, she's beautiful" but I am the kind you get to know and think"wow, she's beautiful." I am confident but not conceited. I'm out-going and thoughtful but can be selfish and insensitive as well. I enjoy good conversation and I love to laugh. What I'm looking for on here is friendship. Yes, I'm a single mom but I'm not looking to be rescued. I don't need to be rescued. I am a strong-minded woman and I know who I am. I don't care how much money you make or what expensive toys you have. Material things are not character. I care about honesty, loyalty, sincerity, family values and the such. I've been hurt just like everyone else but I'm not bitter or jaded and I'm not afraid of having feelings for someone. I do think friendship first is the key to any successful relationship. I like to be comfortable and be myself. I like to be silly, I can be corny, I'm a clutz, I have blonde moments but I'm intelligent, and sometimes I'm just a dork. I'm very sweet and thoughtful. I think surprising someone is more exciting for me than who I surprise. I'm a pretty good cook, too. So if you're going to drink a protein shake *** eating the chicken fried steak and gravy I make, there will definitely be a problem. Looks are only part of what attracts me to someone. In other words, I really don't want to date a pretty pet rock. II've probably watched too much Dateline, Who the Bleep Did I Marry, Dates Gone Wrong and so on - I'm a little skeptical and will have to talk to someone a little while before agreeing to make a date. I guess if you're a serial killer then you'll have to work a little to kill me. I understand the laws of attraction but if all you can think of to discuss with me are my boobs or butt, you will probably get ***'m not trying to be harsh, just being honest and saving you some time.

    As I have read at least ***times, it is hard to come up with words to describe yourself, however describing what you like to do or what you want in someone else is easy! So I asked several of my long time friends to describe me and this is what they had to say: compassionate, kind, wonderful, strong, beautiful, smart, funny/goofy, athletic, a bit crazy (but in a good way...I think this has something to do with OCR's), clever, selfless, great listener and amazing BUT I'm not Elastic Girl (bonus points if you know who she is!). Yes I do pay my friends very well, but their friendship is worth the price!What they didn't mention is I love sports. I have played some sport since I was 6 and coached off/on since college. My dream job is to be a college level coach and this is a recent epiphany. I would rather play then watch! However, that being said, I love watching a minor league or college level game. My favorite professional teams are the Celtics, the Giants (football not baseball), and the bruins.I'm looking for someone who is smart, funny (well at least to me and can laugh at themselves), likes to talk about anything and everything, loves the ocean, wants to try new things, likes/loves kids, wants to go on some adventures (well lots of them) and has a soft spot for endangered species (bonus not necessary). Those are the basic but it honestly boils down to chemistry - mentally, physically and spiritually.Ok my thoughts on dating via the Internet:1) have a picture a. Smile in your picture B. take your shades off in at least one C. Have a close up pix of your smiling face2) drop an *** read your profile and respond3) don't get drunk on your first date with me...yes this has happened4) don't talk about your ex on the first date...it is not fun to listen to and makes me wonder if you are still into her. 5) if you are at a point where young kids in your life aren't where your at that is ok, however Mine are all under 10 and will be hanging out with me for the foreseeable future. 6) ask questions ... It aides in the exchange of ideas, thoughts and fun!
