I'm the kind of girl who tries to pick someone up when they're feeling down, and takes care of those that are closest to me. What can I say? It's in my nature to nurture! I like to think of my glass as 'half full', and try to maintain a positive outlook on life and love. I like to laugh - a LOT, but you'll also find me reaching for the tissue box during a sad movie....Incredibly romantic, I love to surprise and to be surprised; love notes in special places, phone calls or texts just to say you're thinking about me, or a candlelit picnic on the living room floor. I think that romance should come from the heart - not necessarily the wallet - and that random acts of kindness along with imagination and creativity can go a long way in showing someone how much you care.I sincerely believe that it's the little things in life, and yes - in a relationship - that often mean the most and make the biggest impact! *S*Having been in the same profession for nearly 20 years, and self employed for the past 13, I’ve acquired all of the ‘trappings’ that keep me comfortable and content. I lead a very quiet and simple life, filled with work, great friends and a wonderful close-knit family. I enjoy a good book while curled up under the blanket, movies of any genre, board games and music of all types. I LOVE to cook, and I hope to find someone who shares in that passion, or at the very least, has a BIG appetite! I have a huge soft spot for children and animals, and happen to have 2 kitties of my own, Allie and Zoey. Communication is key for me in any relationship, I want my partner to be my best friend; Someone I can talk to about anything and everything, or say nothing at all and still have the best conversation with only a look....I want to meet a man who can still be a boy - but knows when the right time is to be either/or. Someone who is grounded, but still not afraid to dream and count the stars with me. A person who'll not only make me laugh, but who can appreciate and understand my own twisted sense of humour.     I would like to think that my last few years of single life have taught me a few things about myself.I've learned that patience is always a virtue, but sometimes too much can cause problems.I've learned that compromise is important but you also need to not be as flexible.I've learned that laughter is essential in everyday life along with hugs and kisses and hand holding.And most of all I have learned that you must must must communicate, no communication leads to confusion, leads to sadness, leads to misunderstandings and then everyone gets hurt.I'm a single mom who is involved in my childs life. My child will always be #1, never #2.I volunteer often for different things, they bring a bit of peace to my heart knowing I did something good for someone.I do enjoy different types of outings, movies, dinners out, music, comedy, or just a nice stroll somewhere to enjoy the sights and sounds of nature. But you can't beat a nice quiet night in with a silly movie, a serious movie or just a plain old scary movie....and a nice bottle of wine. Spending time with that special someone is important to me, but I do realize that space is needed sometimes to regroup and breathe.I have chosen a serious relationship as my ultimate goal, but first ....gotta meet, gotta date, gotta see if we can even stand eachother. Unless of course someone has invented a time warp to get us past the awkward confusing part of dating and get to the good stuff!!

I have no time for victims of their own making, I have my own bed and I enjoy the sleep I get at night. Must like cats, I have 2 rescued purebred Bengals. I grew up with animals always around,whether house or farm, so enjoy most, only cats right now due to self sufficiency.
