UPDATETHOUGH I may be "online" I'm not always on. It's a filmNoir version of the Wizard of Oz I'm the tin (wo)-man :-)Hi I'm a mom, working actor, mom, Beach lover, mom :***ok. You understand) Movie goer. Slight comic book enthusiast. Recently out of a long term relationship (marriage) and took sometime from "the scene" to focus on myself and my goals. My kids are amazing human beings who I would be friends with even if I hadn't been blessed to be their mother. Kind and silly. Honest and thoughtful. Id like to think that sums me up in a nutshell. And whenever possible, please use proper spelling and grammar. I'm not an English professor, by any means, but if you spell most things the way my daughters friends do in text... It's probably not a good thing. Street fair. Like a sidewalk art show or a small music festival. Maybe a carnival. (I don't do coasters :-} light meal and a comedy show. Food trucks and friends. Something where conversation can happen but moments of silence are ok and not awkward.

I am a non- I suppose some may guess that. I've been living in this lovely city for the past 6 or 7 years (loosing the count already) and feel like I do belong here. I think I'd like to travel the world with somebody some day, but for now I'm just sticking with my life here. :)I arrived here few years ago, worked as archaeologist for sometime, and eventually changed into a bit more steady and boring job, but... something that I could be good at and is my choice of career. It is not quite boring, since I can learn a lot and meet people, so I am quite happy whith my choice. I love reading, I occasionaly go to cinema, go out and dance from time to time. I like spending weekends with my friends, enjoying the atmosphere of this city. I like keeping active, did martial arts, jogging and love the endorphine high (my other favourite drug is coffeine). I appreciate feeling physically strong. Hopefully there is someone to be found here too...What makes me unique... I'm apparently smart, interesting and attractive... and funny at times too. I would like to meet somebody who is smart and interesting, fun and active, someone who reads and who would be my match in terms of what we both would enjoy doing, reading, watching, talking about etc. I am eventually looking for something big and important however I do enjoy nice company and good conversation so not having any high expectations from being here. Just meeting people and finding out who they are.P.S.I'd like to have some idea of who am I chatting to so please have some pictures on your profile:) Would love to have a really nice, enjoyable conversation over a drink or coffee, with bit of a laugh and see how it goes...

I'm rather shy at first, but get me laughing and we'll have fun. I'm a lot geeky and sometimes a little nerdy. By day, I'm a software support specialist working remotely for a software company in DC. At night, I enjoy the company of good friends while debating the latest comic books, geeky TV series / movies, or just hunkering down around a table for game night. When I'm not hanging with friends, I might be challenging a new computer game or diving deep into a new book.I've recently started exploring the fabulously analog task of Knitting / Crocheting which has been an interesting departure from my usually high tech fueled life. I'd also like to spend more time in nature and have a plan to hit up the local parks for some weekend meanders through the woods which will be nice after spending the week cooped up inside in front of a computer. Maybe you'd like to join me? :)The only absolute criteria I have is that you have to be a NON-SMOKER. I have allergies which go crazy around smokers. Otherwise, I would like to find someone who is okay with me being me. I have a quirky sense of humor which sometimes borders on inappropriate - but I definitely love to laugh. I'm also something of a romantic, so it doesn't hurt if the person is willing to indulge me with romantic gestures every now and then :) They don't have to be expensive or grand gestures either - a little note or just some way to let me know you're thinking of me. Maybe Shakespeare in the Park or a barbecue. Nothing too fancy or over the top. A picnic lunch while enjoying the outdoors and having a good conversation would also be nice.
