I'm just me. :) I am a full-time student and newly single mom to an amazingly bright 9-year old who is my world. I have been out of the dating loop for a long while and am kind of new to this, so I'm a little unsure about what to say here. But, I'm a quick learner. ;)After working in the service industry for ***years (because that is just what I've always done and what I know), I am now back in college and working towards getting a teaching degree with the hopes of eventually teaching middle school or high school History. I am a bit of a nerd at heart (okay... maybe a lot a bit... lol)... I am always reading or looking up new things trying to expand my base of useless knowledge. :)I love all kinds of music, but tend to steer clear of newer country or hardcore rap. I love discovering new music and going to concerts. I love movies of all kinds. I love reading (when I have time or can stay awake... LOL), especially historical fiction. See? Kind of geeky, but I like to think it's just part of my charm. ;)I cannot STAND games or players... be straightforward. I'm a big girl, I can take it. ;)I am opinionated, but open minded and tolerant. I am headstrong, but also capable of listening to reason. I am quirky and accepting of others quirks. Yes... I have very short hair, and no, I won't consider growing it out... it suits me. ;) I am straight-forward and honest, and expect the same from others.I am an open book... ask me anything and I'll give you an honest answer. I prefer a good beer over wine. I prefer watching a good movie over Nascar. I can have a conversation with anyone (I've never met a stranger... ), but can get a little shy when the conversation is focused on me (I blush easily). I know I may not be everybody's cup of tea, but that's fine by me... I don't even like tea. ;)What am looking for? Kindness, a killer sense of humor, confidence, HONESTY, good conversation, wit, intelligence, respectfulness, shared interests, individuality, an infectious laugh, a great smile, wicked chemistry and *butterflies*. :) Also, the choices given for what my "intent" may be are way too generic... I am looking to get to know someone and see where it goes. I'm not anti-relationship; I just don't want to jump into anything, but rather ease into it.     Hi everyone!Well, I'm not really sure what to put here, but no one really reads these things anyway, do they? I like to meet new people, but sometimes I can be kind of quiet until you get to know me. Life is too short to be superficial and stupid; Do not judge too quickly." I want to be romanced, for men to make an effort, and to be treated like an equal *** judged on looks alone; in return you will find someone who has a lot to give and who will return all you give. The main picture on my profile is closest to my current hairstyle, but I am trying to grow it out. Hopefully it grows out quickly because I hate it being this short. What would I like to do on a first date? That is an interesting question. I am comfortable bowling a few games, going to a sporting event, dinner, movies, dancing, sitting and talking for hours, etc. As long as I'm with interesting people holding interesting conversations things are good. My ideal would be bowling, ordering a pizza or two, and letting anyone interested in me get to know my kids and I in a relaxed setting.
