I prefer Daylight Savings to not. I WILL watch a football game with you.Questionable success) These profiles tend to be a mix of the shallow and the cliche, and as I sit here, drink in hand, I wonder if I can do any better, despite my loquaciousness and (so far unknown) lack of character maximum. But if I can cobble together at least one sentence that grabs the right person's attention...well...gold star for me, then. The basics) I'm in one of those "middle" stages (question mark). Mid-twenties, and working my ass off in a job that I'm surprisingly proficient at. (You know, when the one other person in your department quits the evening of your first day, any kind of success seems like a bit of a surprise.) My off-time is consumed by (in order of wistful-time-spent, not actual): finishing my novel (if you ask about it, refer to my headline as a warning);; mastering my ballroom dances, especially the waltz (the likelihood of me being on Dancing With the Stars matches that of me being the next person to skydive from space); reading (fiction mostly, and yes, I keep a "Me wants it!" list in my wallet); watching movies (with crochet hook in hand).Foods) are very important. Introduce me to something new and I will love your forever.Bits and pieces) I love kids and have a handful of them that call me "aunt", despite the lack of blood relation. (Don't worry, I'm not trying to snare a baby daddy.) Music keeps me going throughout the day, and though I have some questionable/girly/ridiculous tracks on my ipod, I'm constantly seeking new fare from my more sophisticated friends. Yes, I know ***, and yes, I realize you're SUPPOSED to post things on it. Five times a day is the current societal quota, isn't it? (Really, if I care, I'll call you, or *** God forbid I actually see you in person.) It's been a while since I jumped out of a plane, but I'm currently contemplating doing my first non-tandem jump...In other words) I'm a mix of homebody and thrill-seeker, artist and audience...It all depends on the moment. You, sir) You are honest (but not cruel), loyal (but not obsessive), goofy (but not idiotic - there is a difference!). You understand that driving is not just for getting from Point A to Point B, but for discovery, therapy, and private concerts. A man who doesn't need me to sell him on our time together with grandiose plans or flashy promises, a partner who not only trusts me enough to let me go out with my friends, but agrees on the importance accorded to other relationships - and therefore maintains some of his own. Your humor can be dry, witty, and/or silly - as long as it's present most of the time. Your diploma isn't as important as the books on your shelves and the empathy you've gained by truly seeing the world. You and me) You have your goals and ambitions, and I have mine. And when I think mine are out of reach, you'll be supportive but not demanding; when I announce my bungee-jumping intentions, you'll hold my hand as we walk to the edge, but you won't push me off when I hesitate. (Unless I ask you to, of course. Or unless you know me well enough to contradict me when it's appropriate.) You're just as likely to lie with your head in my lap as I am in yours, and feed me ice cream straight from the container because we're both too lazy to dish it into bowls. I'll do your laundry when I get around to doing mine, and when it comes time to do the lawn, we'll get a riding mower, so it's at least entertaining. Sound like a deal? I want someone to stand beside me - unless of course we're in a crowd and I need to get on your shoulders in order to witness the fun.You and me - addendum) I'm not interested in anything shallow. I want you to share yourself - past, present, and future - as much as I do. I'm an "associative" thinker - which means everything reminds me of something else; it's not necessary for you to be the same, but I've found it makes my trains-of-thought less confusing. I want us both to bring something to the other's life. Something anti-cliche that involves movement. But nothing too loud, because I'd like to be able to pick your brain on your childhood, favorite color, toilet paper preference, and suggestions for establishing world peace.

I’m generally a pretty easy going girl. I love to try new things, laugh and have a good time, usually with a few friends away from the whole bar scene, which is definitely not my thing. My sense of humour leans toward the more ridiculous side of things. The more foolish or nonsensical something is, the more I’ll probably like it. I tend to speak my mind and I've been known to be a little opinionated at times, which is a quality I enjoy in others. I have a broad (weird) range of interests; I like everything from politics to B horror movies. I am a bit of a nerd, especially when it comes to books and movies and I’m pretty varied in the music I listen to, which is almost anything except for generic pop/country and rap.I'm hoping to meet someone who is funny, warm, open-minded and loves good conversation. I'm a talker but I love not having to carry a conversation on my own. I've always been very independent but I want to find someone I click with to share all the little (and big) things in life with. :) Something low key and low pressure, probably coffee or something. :)
