I'm just a laid-back girl looking for a change of pace. I love being outside, including kayaking & golfing, & tennis. I'm a traveler at heart, but have acquired a fear of flying in my old age.. I'm also pretty bored of the bar scene, I'm more into having unique experiences, but catching a game on the weekends at home is always nice too. I'm a huge trivia fan, Jeopardy is my favorite show - and the only one I DVR religiously, and I'm in search of some good competition (or teammate). In other news, I hate beer but love margaritas with sugar on the rim. The HLN channel is on my tv almost ***, I have food aversions based on texture, and am captivated by series on the universe. I enjoy working out & getting sweaty, but even more I love to sleep... I try to do both everyday. More than anything, I like getting to know a lot about a person as soon as I can, so somewhere that facilitates conversation is a viable first date.A sense of humor is also a must-have for a good time, so I'm always up for amusement parks, arcades, haunted houses (personal favorite), mini golfing or bowling.. things of that nature. There's something to be said for someone who can laugh at themselves... or more importantly, make me laugh!

I am a busy woman who is a devoted teacher, cheerleading coach, and part-time grad student, although I plan on graduating with my masters degree in December! I enjoy reading just about anything, although much of my reading time is spent grading papers and reading for grad school. Although I currently work as a teacher, I have worked at several zoos in the past, so I love animals of all kinds. I am the proud owner of a female pit bull right now, but would love to have more pets someday (horses, reptiles)! As far as music goes, I will listen to anything: country, bluegrass (especially Alison Krauss!), rock, etc. I don't have a favorite station...I just surf until I find a song that I like.). I hate running, but I do like to be active (dance, cardio, aerobics, lifting, etc.) Outdoor stuff is fun, too, but I'm not a fan of the cold. Clearly, I'm here to find someone special, but I'm not going to rush into anything. Hanging out first, and we will see where it goes from there :)
