About Me

I love to travel and hope to see all the continents before I die (Antarctica is probably a long shot, I know). After graduating from SFU I moved to Taiwan for a year and then backpacked around Southeast Asia for a few months.’ve been lucky enough to get away every couple of years to explore more of the world.I love to read all kinds of stuff, from graphic novels to classics to nonfiction. Music is really important to me, and I almost always have something playing in the background, no matter what I'm doing. I love discovering new music and I'll give bands from any genre a chance, even country and rap. If a song has a good beat and is fun to dance to, chances are I'll like it (unless it's Maroon 5 or Nickelback...terrible). I also enjoy lots of different movies, but lately I've gravitated towards sci-fi and fantasy types of films, as well as horror. I definitely have a nerdy side; my favourite show is Jeopardy and I kick ass at Jenga.-3 times a week. I wouldn't say I'm overly athletic, but I'm aiming to do Tough Mudder and the West Coast Trail next year... I'm not much into clubbing anymore, and would rather get together with my friends at a bar to catch the Canucks game or have a board game night. I love going to see movies and plays, checking out new restaurants, and trying different drinks/food. I'm also a huge animal lover; one of my favourite ways to unwind is to play with my dog and take her for walks.I'd like to meet someone who loves laughing and having fun and who has similar interests (obviously...wouldn't we all?). I can be a bit shy at first, so it would be good to meet someone who's outgoing and can pull me out of my shell. My lifestyle is pretty low-maintenance and drama-free, and I'd like to keep it that way.     I love hiking and camping, rollerblading, canoeing, and tubing in the summer, and I'm always looking for someone to snowboard with in the winter. I bought a new board at the end of last season, and it's waiting patiently to be ridden. I went back to school just last year for Computer Aided Design and Drafting and I currently work in architectural design.In May I travelled to Fiji to volunteer with Habitat for Humanity... it was one of the best experiences of my life so far. After Fiji I went backpacking in Thailand, and I can't wait to plan my next trip. (seriously, I want to go now!) I prefer backpacking and hostels over suitcases and resorts. But there is definitely a time and place for those things too. Get it right guys!!! it's not difficult. - Shirtless mirror selfies... Natural, candid shots at the lake or camping are much better!- Mirror selfies in general... really? you don't have ANY pictures of yourself that are not in front of the mirror?- Posers, thugs, chainzzz... etc...I'm not looking for anything too serious at the moment, but it would be nice to find someone to hang out with... go for a hike or snowboarding... any one?

    I currently work as a lifeguard, swim, water aerobics and pilates *** am seeking a man who shares my love of the water.     Nothing makes me happier than having a paint brush in my hand, my toes in the water, a great song in my head or an excuse to wear a costume.My uncontrollable grin and sarcastic wit sometimes get me in trouble and I've been told that my "expressive"I love being outside and, although I consider myself a girly-girl, I love to dive in and get messy. Whether it is camping, surfing, kayaking, snowboarding or just going for a walk, I have to be active and outside. I did the Tough Mudder Race in Whistler last year (with an injured foot no less). It was such a challenge (mentally and physically) but SO much fun! Sadly the foot wasn't healed enough to do it again this year, but I really enjoyed cheering on my teammates!As an aspiring Journalist and self-proclaimed News junkie, I love to know what is going on in the world around me. I have a fast-paced, high-stress job and work weird hours, but when I'm not filling the teleprompter with amazing news content, I love to relax and have fun. I can be terribly clumsy at times, literally all arms and legs, but will be the first person to laugh at myself when I fall off an office chair and hit my chin on the window sill. (Yes, this actually happened and involved a series of unfortunate but hilarious events! ;) I have to admit that I am a bit of a height-ist... Comes from being the "tall girl", I guess.
