"I used to think the brain was the most important organ. Then I thought, look what's telling me that!"Hey. I am an ambitious, outgoing, sporty kinda gal! I have a career that I love and enjoy every day, and am always aspiring to learn more and be better at what I do. I am pretty passionate about my work, but not so passionate that I don't try to take off for a few months every year in pursuit of the most pristine beaches on the planet. I'm a watersport junkie-- scuba diving, surfing, SUPing, and hopefully soon kiteboarding! Wanna teach me?!Other than water sports, I enjoy a good long distance run, hike, or cycle, and am trying to get better at my newest hobby: mountain biking. And by better, I mean slightly less blood at the end of each ride. Yikes. I am a sucker for someone who can teach me something new (sports included), so if you're into something that's not on my list-- all the better! I'll put this out there right now though, I'm not too much of a skiier....been there, tried that several times. I am willing to try and get better, but just be warned that there may be copious cursing, yelling, and/or death threats. Just kidding about the last one! But seriously, I love the sun. Snow, not so much.Other than sports, I enjoy a nice night in with a book, movie, a few TED talks and a glass of wine...or beer. I think a day is wasted if I did not open a book and break a sweat. Family and friends are extremely important to me, and I am lucky enough to have an amazing assortment of both. I am an independent girl with a love for life.....but it's more fun when you can share it with someone!You: are happy....or travel the world. You love the outdoors, and don't think it would be weird to go running on our second date. You can teach me things, and are willing to be taught.     Came from a place where there wasn't much to do, so I'm looking forward to being in a big city! Recently finished nursing school - am looking forward to expanding my career. This is also one of the reasons why I moved to Calgary as there is a lot more opportunity for work and growth in the health care field.Friends and family are very important to me, so I always try to make as much time as I can to see them. With this move I'll be leaving a lot of family and friends behind so I'm hoping to use this time to focus on my career. I love all types of music. All depending on my mood my playlist ranges anywhere from top hits to any of the local bands around town. I'm not picky with different genres. Some of my favorite things to do are hopping in a car with no place to go, catching up with friends on the phone or going for a coffee, and taking my dog for long walks. Having a quiet night in is always nice too! With some free time I'm hoping to get back in to competitive rowing - Competed for 8 years before an injury that kept me from continuing. Hitting up the gym and going for runs is something I keep up with to stay healthy :) Or even just going for a long walk! Watching sports on TV is great too - but I would definitely prefer to play them. I'm looking for an honest guy to get to know, not rush in to things, and take it from there.
