About Me

Came from a place where there wasn't much to do, so I'm looking forward to being in a big city! Recently finished nursing school - am looking forward to expanding my career. This is also one of the reasons why I moved to Calgary as there is a lot more opportunity for work and growth in the health care field.Friends and family are very important to me, so I always try to make as much time as I can to see them. With this move I'll be leaving a lot of family and friends behind so I'm hoping to use this time to focus on my career. I love all types of music. All depending on my mood my playlist ranges anywhere from top hits to any of the local bands around town. I'm not picky with different genres. Some of my favorite things to do are hopping in a car with no place to go, catching up with friends on the phone or going for a coffee, and taking my dog for long walks. Having a quiet night in is always nice too! With some free time I'm hoping to get back in to competitive rowing - Competed for 8 years before an injury that kept me from continuing. Hitting up the gym and going for runs is something I keep up with to stay healthy :) Or even just going for a long walk! Watching sports on TV is great too - but I would definitely prefer to play them. I'm looking for an honest guy to get to know, not rush in to things, and take it from there.     I've been living and working downtown for about 7 years now and absolutely love it! I really enjoy my job and feel lucky to have found something that I like to do every day. I spend a lot of my free time hanging out with friends... normally we hit up a pub for a few beers on the weekend or relax at the beach. I take up any opportunity I can to go away (not because I don't enjoy the city but because I love vacations). Whether it be a weekend on the island or in the okanagan or somewhere else - I find it next to impossible to say no to a trip. The last couple of years I've been lucky enough to go on ***month backpacking trips in Europe & Australia. SE Asia is next on the list for this winter and I can't wait. I love to find different ways of being creative myself, whether it be making jewelry, decorating, gardening or sometimes even a bit of painting/collage.Other than that I like music, sports, the outdoors, concerts, cooking and the list goes on and on. My friends would describe me as caring, driven, independent, sarcastic, supportive and stubborn (but clearly I don't think I'm stubborn - ha!).
