MY SELF SUMMARY:My life stories are in the lyrics of my favorite songs, want to know me, listen to my playlist!I am Amy. I am a SINGLE mom to a great 14 year old boy (young man)! I love Saints football, Pelicans and Heat Basketball, and I catch the occasional NASCAR race. I am a beach bum deep down and love to be out in the sun. I have been single for almost two years and I am ready for the next chapter in my book, but I need a coauthor. Is it you?WHAT I AM DOING WITH MY LIFE:Raising a teenage boy (yikes)! Working hard for my money. Enjoying life! (Did you catch the song reference there?)I'M REALLY GOOD AT:I am good at multiple things. I am a decent cook, but I excel at my job (marketing for a regional insurance wholesaler), I am pretty funny (I probably should have been a comedian... Lol), and I bake a damn good cookie.I am a great listener, talker, I give a good hug, and I am a pretty great kisser;)THE FIRST THING PEOPLE USUALLY NOTICE ABOUT ME:I believe there are two obvious standouts, I will say my eyes and let you figure out the second.FAVORITES:Books: I love to read. I will basically read anything wih words. My favorite book is Roll of Thunder, Hear my Cry. I also loved The Client. And i have a guilty pleasure for Nicolas Sparks. I could go on and on, but I will leave it here.Movies: The only thing I really don't watch is Horror, but i am open to it if you hold me through it (and after it). My two all time favorite movies are Grease and Shawshank Redemption. I like movies, but I perfer cuddling on the couch than going to the theater, unless its a great action movie that needs the screen and sound of the theater.Shows: I have an unhealthy love of reality television. I mean I completely understand its not really reality, but I love it. I also enjoy the food network, discovery channel, national geographic, hgtv... Music: My favorite topic! Music makes my heart beat, it makes my soul smile. I can't pick a favorite genera. My all time favorite artist is Madonna. My all time favorite song is Shimmer by Fuel. At the present moment my favorite band is Shinedown, however that changes from time to time. I lack musical ability, but can speak in song lyric, can start singing most songs on most radio stations before the words start, and can rap most words to the majority of EmInem and Master P. I also pride myself on knowing all the words to Baby Got Back. Side note, I promote a local rock cover band and hope to one day promote more bands!Food: My second favorite topic. Food is my worst enemy and my best friend all at the same time. I am not really picky bit I don't eat chocolate. I would need to explain the extent of that statement but I am not even sure how many people read this far anyway. My favorite salty snack is chips and salsa. My favorite sweet snack is a snowball. I love love love key lime pie. I like sushi, Mexican, Italian, Chinese, steak, burgers, vegetables, and fruit... SIX THINGS I COULD NEVER DO WITHOUT:1. My Son2. My Mom3. My three Best Friends4. Woman. 35 years old. Zodiac sign: Libra.
Looking for: man. In age: 32-42
I'm short, simple, and sweet. I don't lie or play games and I'm not here to find a hook-up. I'm real and I will be honest about everything and very open about who I am. I would prefer to meet someone who is just as open and vibrant as I am because it would make things so much easier. If you're the type that stays closed and not value how important communication is, or if you're just a dead head, please don't contact me. I don't do drugs, I don't smoke, I don't hang out at the local bars/clubs because I'm not much of a social drinker and I don't like the having a hangover, and I'm disease free...yay! I am not a zombie so you don't have to worry about me eating your brains as I would prefer you pique my interest with it than have me find that your brain taste like poo. (LOL!) Oh and you must have a sense of humor. If you can't get down and get goofy, I'd guess I would get charged for murdering boredom. I enjoy making others around me laugh. Last week i had a nasty wreck on my bike (no damage done to it thank goodness). My leg should've *** the impact but I was very fortunate not to have sustained serious injuries. A teenage boy twice my size ( more like an ogre) goofing off with this friends sprinted backwards right into me but he took 99.99% of the impact and the curb but my leg is like a living mood ring...ever changing colors! Now if I add glitter, maybe I can say its a nebula or supernova. I get weird and goofy like this as I try to see through to the best of the worst of things....as if looking for the light at the end of the tunnel...so laughing at myself is not hard. I just don't like wasting my time meeting tight-asses and jerks here -- I'm going to be brash about putting that out there. As for appearances go, I would say that I'm more of a girl-next-door type. I stand at 5'1" and I weigh around ***but I look more like 140. Another perk about me is that I just recently got into cycling this summer and I'm loving it. Bought a mountain bike in june and have been riding the hell out if since. In the near future I do plan on getting a road bike. I wanted to do something different for myself and have something fun to do at the same time. For an update, I recently participated in a sprint triathlon on a relay team for the first time and i had a blast. I served 9 yrs in the army, though ive been out for nearly 10, however, i don't run due to a bad knee, and don't swim because i just panic if the water is too dark, but i have restored my love of being outdoors once again. I don't consider myself perfect as I will say straight up that I have my flaws, however, I will be honest and show just as much respect as you show me. As I come across many of the profiles here on this site, I may take a moment and send a message -- if I do write you, take it as a compliment that I found something interesting in your profile but don't feel pressured that you have to write back. If you're interested in getting to know someone who is real, genuine, and sincere, all you have to do is just ask. I'm pretty much looking for someone in the slow lane. Someone grounded; someone who knows who he is; someone who knows that although life itself isn't easy but works hard at it; someone who is brave; What I find disappointing lately in our human race is the short-comings and lack of respect and apathy we have for one another. The main goal that I have is to meet a super-bad-ass friend. You know, the kind of friend that's there for you when they say they'll be there. I find that friendship is one of the most important things to build upon in any kind of relationship. So with that said, if the sparks aren't there, hopefully I've made a new friend :)Be yourself.
