About Me

I am a mom to an awesome 4 year old. I am not looking for a step dad for my kid but you must like kids, that is kind of a prerequisite, though you won't be meeting her for at least many months, otherwise that would be creepy (notice the lack of pictures of her on my profile).I am a student, I am on my way to getting my certificate in radiologic technology (that means I'll be taking x-rays). School takes up a huge amount of my time but I absolutely love what I have chosen as my career path (finally). I am a city girl but I do like a good hike now and then. I like taking my daughter to the park on nice days or out to fairs. We get A LOT of ice cream. I am pretty boring most of the time on a week night, I pretty much just hang out with my kid. We do stuff, we play, get more ice cream, in the winter we make snow men. I'm trying to get her into crafts.I waitress. It sucks. I hate it. It makes dating incredibly difficult because I have the exact opposite schedule from most people. But it ways the bills while I'm in school so it serves its purpose for now.I can cook a decent meal. I wouldn't say I enjoy cooking. If I had the money I'd probably eat sushi, Indian or Mexican food every day. I'm pretty adventurous when it comes to cuisine. Falafel is awesome.I'm a beer snob. I'm also a music snob. Descendents, Refused, Fugazi, Death Cab, Modest Mouse, Wilco...if you haven't heard of them it's ok as long as you don't like country or exclusively hard core rap.I'm pretty funny and I'm pretty smart. That sounds totally conceited, sorry/not sorry. I like to make people laugh and I like someone who can make me laugh. I prefer dark, dry, witty and totally un PC. I like Bill hicks. I like art. Most art. I'd probably enjoy a trip to the art museum over a hike. True story. I am also incredibly low maintenance, I get my hair cut about twice a year. I wear strictly flip flops in the summer unless I dress up to go out. I have amazing friends "they say friends are the new family of the 21st century". Talking with friends over a few drinks is the perfect time. If there's a guitar and a fire pit it's even better.Let's see...about the person I'm looking for. You must be able to not only speak but write a full sentence using appropriate punctuation, spelling, grammar and capitals. An lol here and there is ok, but don't over do it (knowing the difference between your and you're will make it or break it).I need someone to match wits with me. Someone smart and funny. Someone who can help to drive the conversation. It can't go one way or the other, we both must be engaged. I am very liberal but my perspective mate is allowed their own opinion as long as they can back it up. A heated debate is welcome as long as it does not turn into arguing. I would rather someone sticks by their morals, values and opinions even if I disagree with them. But compromise must of course be at the end.I am not into sports, if you are that's ok. If you're checking the score on your phone every 5 seconds we probably won't gel. I missed that meeting.I do not want a bad boy. Not even a reformed bad boy. You are probably not reformed. They never are. I would like someone sensitive and caring, who thinks of others first. I'm damn independent but I'm not gonna complain if you hold the door for me.I will probably (most likely) not message you back if you have any pictures on your profile of you not wearing a shirt, or pictures taken in a bathroom mirror, especially a public bathroom mirror (gross) or throwing gang signs or with duck face (possibly grosser on a dude than a picture taken in a public bathroom). Also, I'm not trying to date anyone who lives more than a half hour away from me. It's just not logical. Paint ball. Cause I've always wanted to go.

    For the record...it is my personality and sense of humor to laugh about rediculous situations. I like to stay active and am always up for a challenge!I like to play tennis although I am not amazing at it...I love music because it is so much a part of what I do sooo I like a variety of styles. I am always up for live music! And despite how serious all of this sounds....I can be a complete goofball. But I need someone who knows when that is appropriate. If you absolutely cant be serious for any extended period of time...this wont work. Also, I NEED someone who is musically inclined. I know that is weird but if you cant hold a tune in a bucket or at least play an *** drive me crazy. Sorry..it just does. (maybe I am a little picky...lol)OK...update! I want that someone in my life who I can depend on NO MATTER WHAT! Us against the world! I need someone with ambition and drive. I cant be your motovation...you need to be your own. I want someone who has a career...not just a job (or who is content bagging groceries for the rest of his life). Someone who is not afraid to make things happen to get what he wants/needs. I want a family oriented man who wants that traditional family and understands the bond between a parent and child. I believe that a man should provide for his family when he chooses to have one (but not finance a girlfriend). I HATE CRYING unless it is a death in the family or something serious. How can you be a rock for me if you crumble at every sign of stress? I am a pretty tough chick...I make things happen and work my tail off, but I also have a fragile side and need a strong man beside me. I like to cuddle and am very touchy-feely...BUT when I am ready to go to bed....I dont want anyone touching me! If that is a problem for you sorry..I find the men who NEED to cuddle to sleep tend to have mommy issues...and I am not your momma! ok...thats all for now.ADDITIONAL UPDATE! When I say I dont like to cuddle...that means that I dont want to sleep with someone completely engulfing my body or flopped on top of me. I play volleyball for fun with friends on the beach courts and do love to play baseball. I love to laugh and can often be heard rapping off. I love to entertain whether it be family or friends it really makes no difference to me my home has an open door policy! I am looking for someone that has the same energy that I do.
