About Me

I am a sweet, smart, sassy, confident and nurturing woman. I am Jewish and, although I am not particularly observant, it is very important to me that my partner also be Jewish. I enjoy reading, swimming, dancing, gardening, billiards, movies, watching sports (usually just the championships :)), and spending time with my friends and family.

I'm definitely a people person.. A bit of a social butterfly. I love spending time with my family and friends. I'm very passionate about my work! I've been a nurse for over 8 years now. I'm looking for a MAN that's independent, kind hearted, old fashioned and has a good relationship with his family and friends.

Single mom to two amazing boys. My job and my kids take up about 99% of my time and for once in my life im actually very happy. I talk to other single folks, even single parents and they are just desperate to date someone asap. Im not that person. Perhaps it was being so isolated in my younger years, or during my marriage im not sure (and im not paying a therapist to find out) but i have a career i really enjoy, two kids who keep me hopping and constantly busy, and my down time is filled with cleaning house, running errands, and occasionally sitting and enjoying some coffee and a book. So why a dating site?Im really not sure, i feel pressured by friends and family who seem to think i must be missing something in my life. In truth ive never had a healthy functional relationship (more like big angry children who never wanted sex) and lets be honest im not getting any cuter :)Im not even sure how to go about dating with kids, my few relationships since my divorce were long distance and complicated. This all boils down to a point of me not being willing to settle for companionship anymore. Messaging me with "hi" only makes me roll my eyes. I realize im not a supermodel, however im not clutching my phone desperate for a date either.

It's good to be home!I would like to meet someone who gets my sarcastic sense of humor, likes to hang out with both his friends and mine, go to dinner, catch a movie, hit up a bar, hang out in the pool, go for a walk or a hike, go camping for the weekend, or run away for the weekend to get out of the city. The two main characteristics I am looking for are ambition and a sense of humor! Have a job. Have a car. Have a positive attitude and outlook on life. Have ambitions and goals you would like to accomplish for yourself. I'm really laid back when it comes to life outside of work and I just kind of take life as it comes! What can I say? I'm a pretty cool chick. I definitely like to go out and have a good time, but enjoy a night in just as much. Sporting events, concerts, bars...all cool with me. I take my job seriously, but not much else unless the timing calls for it.Side note: If you have a picture of yourself with your shirt off in front of a mirror, please don't bother contacting me. Not a big fan of arrogance. Confidence is one thing, but come on.I have a good relationship with my family, no baggage (emotional or otherwise). Basically, I don't have "daddy issues." Sorry for all you fixers out there. I'm not stocked up on crazy or anything. I have my head on straight, I know what I want and I don't waste my time if it's not just that, but I'm not going to turn away a great guy either. I'm not looking to stay single forever, but I am also not willing to settle for the wrong guy. I think a great first date would be either a sporting event or meeting up for drinks at a local pub or sports bar. Somewhere that you can have a conversation but yet not be pressured into holding it for too long if it's just not there! I like dive bars, maybe something with pool or darts!
