About Me

I missed the city so much that I had to come back.I work for a management consulting firm downtown. I love my job, and I work hard during work hours but can leave my work at the office and rarely think about it on nights/weekends. I also love music and concerts, especially music festivals, street fests, ravinia, and intimate venues. I love going to the beach in the summer, playing beach volleyball, picnics by the lake, and movies in the park.’s many charms. If not doing something social, I'm probably running, taking a dance or art class, home playing my guitar and listening to music, or cooking a nice dinner and watching a movie. I love traveling and exploring new cities. It'd be nice to meet someone that shares some of my interests but also helps me to expand my horizons.I'm really good at making people feel comfortable in new/unfamiliar situations and making friends anywhere I go. Listening, making people laugh, cooking, being a good friend and girlfriend...I also have a lot of insight and am pretty rational about most things, so I'm good at helping people to see another perspective on things.I’m a free spirit and appreciate people that are honest and genuine. As far as dating goes I always thought I would meet the right person when the time was right. A deep connection is really important to me. Even among friends, I feel a stronger pull to certain people. I’m definitely not a surface person, and it’s important for me to find someone that I’m “on the same page with”.The page I’m on: I like to spend time with my friends, and I like to spend time alone, but would also really like to share some of that time with a “special someone”. Balance is a must for me. I like to go out and be social a fair amount, but definitely need my time at home on the couch relaxing…etc. I’m always down with sporting events, concerts, exploring new areas of the city, camping trips, road trips, etc. as long as we have fun!The page you should be on: I don’t have any set type at all. We’ll either have the connection and chemistry, or we won’t. Traits that I’m attracted to…confidence, creative, thoughtful, great sense of humor, intelligence, open-mindedness…someone who has had a wide array of experiences...worldliness is a huge turn on...knowing what is going on both locally and globally. And I like a man who has been around the block and knows how to treat a woman.

It's kinda funny to have to pick one word to describe yourself using a list of very random preselected adjectives! Just to clarify, I had to land on "crafty" as it was the best of the bunch for me. I do like to come up with the perfect, unique gift to give someone on Christmas, I enjoy making the most out of a sunny day, I love planning vacations or just a gathering of friends, and I enjoy making something out of nothing. So, I guess these are a few things that make me crafty. I don't have a room dedicated to scrapbooking, and I don't own a hot glue gun - so some may not consider me crafty at all. You can be the judge!- this incredible city - from STL a couple years ago for work, and now that I'm settled in my career and life here, I'm ready to share that with someone. Looking for a great man who's interested in sharing an evening out on the town, a lazy sunday, a run after work, or a good laugh with friends. I think a perfect first date would have to be something like an outdoor concert or watching a game. A place where you are free to talk and get to know eachother, but where there's lots to see and do at the same time.

As I read the questions, I can't help but wonder- would anyone honestly admit to being a drug addict who doesn't own a car? Just saying...At this point in my life, I've learned quite a bit about who I am and my beliefs. I have fun doing nearly anything because it's about who I'm with not the activity. I love camping and bonfires but I also get equally excited over a museum. Other highlights would be that 1. Laughter and good conversation is non-negotiable 2.Sundays are Fun Days and if the Packers are playing- that IS the plan for the day! And once you factor in pre and post-game festivities it really is a day long event 3. I have two cats***that is smart and one that would ride the short bus:) I love them both and they are not going anywhere 4. Family is important however, if a person is TOO close- it simply becomes weird. 5. The concept that it may be too late for coffee is foreign to me. 6. It is OK to have different opinions 7. Transformers, X-Men and the whole Marvel movie series is not just for boys 8. If you watch Doomsday Preppers for tips and not for entertainment value only- I will laugh at you.As for who I look for, because of my height, I prefer guys who are taller. While summertime may be flip flop season, I tend to favor heels other times of the year and am not into the whole Amazon woman look. I also like guys who like to do a variety of activities. During the summer I love camping and being on boats and who doesn't like to take advantage of outdoor seating at restaurants? In winter, I'm indoorsy because I get cold but I don't mind riding on the back of a snowmobile and I'd like to try snow-shoeing or cross country skiing at some point. Finally, intelligence is also very important to me- it's probably what's most important. I read a lot and follow the news and as I said above, excellent conversation is a must-have! When it comes to dating, I believe in seeing where things go. Maybe a friendship will develop, maybe something more, maybe nothing and that's OK too. In the end, everything is an experience and things work out however they should. In all honesty- to me, the best first dates are simple- especially for a first meeting. A happy hour or coffee shop can be great. If it goes well, you can always turn it into something more but if the chemistry is off- at least it's a short lived experience and possibly a story to tell!

Loves:- Being with friends (game nights, dinner parties, picnics in a park, etc.)- Theater -.. All of it is great :***Playing basketball and tennis (would love to fun a sports buddy!)- Travel - big or small trips... There's so much chance for adventure!- Cooking - just started doing Paleo a couple months ago and really like itDon't like:- Bugs- DramaLooks:- Tall (yes... am 6'2" ;***Glasses- Love guys who embrace their inner geek... It's the part in all of us that makes us interesting. :) First date, usually drinks. Better to meet up in a casual way at first - see if the chemistry is there - both in conversation and mutual attraction. Once you know the chemistry is there and you want to get to know someone more, the second date is where it's at. :) Those are the ones where something fun and longer so you can get to know them is great. :)
