About Me

I am a very active person and I am looking for that "significant other" again, to share what life has to offer. To put my activity level into perspective I better explain right away, that most of them are done out of pure pleasure. I don’“Gran Fondo”. I just love being in nature, exploring, discovering and meeting people, while staying healthy and happy. At this point in my life I am free to do what I want and I am financially secure. It would be nice if you are able to say the same. My work is one of my passions but does not necessarily determine my schedule. I have travelled a fair bit and would love to do more in the near future. Besides Jazz and Rap my music taste is pretty universal. I love to go to live concerts, theater plays and a good movie once in a while.What is important to me in a partner is the ability to have a conversation about something else other than just fishing and/or hunting. Don’t get me wrong – I do love to cast a rod once in a while, but it is not my life’s purpose and shouldn’t be yours either. I also appreciate a good, sometimes challenging conversation; someone who is interested in the rest of the world and what happens there; someone who knows that life isn’t always fun and fair, but is always willing to get up and try again.     My close friends would say I'm both creative and practical. I'd add curious and thoughtful to that and maybe life long learning. I like entertaining new ideas as well as new places. I have also rekindled my interest in photography which has been a great activity over this past gloriously sunny summer. It is good to have a creative outlet of some sort. My little goddaughter is in my life on a regular basis which livens things up and we have lots of fun together. I have done some traveling; I like experiencing new cultures but also exploring new beaches...happy to put on a backpack and go without too much of an itinerary. I think though I am happiest when being around or on the ocean and have spent my share of time exploring our islands by boat. While sharing some interests makes things fun, I think sharing common values is perhaps more important. I like intelligent conversation and silly ones too....I think laughter is an important component of sanity. Coffee, lunch, a drink or a walk - keep it simple, short and sweet and see what unfolds.
