Some of my closest friends are in my life because I took the chance and said "hi" to a stranger. So, I am putting myself out there to try to meet some new friends without hanging out in the bar scene! Looking for someone to go to a game with or watch one at a friendly pub. A dinner companion with great conversation and a good sence of humor would be a nice evening also. I listen to all types of music, and equally enjoy attending the Theatre or the Zoo. I am comfortable in a dress and high heels or jeans and a t-shirt. I do not like the cold, winter months. I much perfer the heat and beaches of the Dominican Republic, or even a beautiful warm day hiking in Banff or fishing along the Bow River. I am just a few months away from being an empty nester, but have a home with 2 Golden Retrievers and 3 cats. Aside from a part time job in healthcare, and having my own business, I am involved in volunteer work, and try to give my time to help others when I can. Although I am very strong and independant, I also enjoy walking hand in hand with a warm and caring man to share with him the softness of being a woman. I myself, will no doubt, be full of nervous anticipation of meeting for a first date. Likely meet at a resturant or pub, or a stroll through the zoo. Lots of talking, smiling and laughter as we get to know each other and hopefully grow more at ease. I guess where we met for this wonderful date, would depend on what happens next. ie afternoon at the zoo may lead to dinner. If we don't hit it off so well, we go our separate ways and wish each other all the best and goodness that life has to offer. If we do hit it off great, then we make plans to see each other again and see where life takes us.

Just looking to meet an easygoing attractive guy, and hopefully make a connection with someone on the same wavelength as me. I know this sounds like such a cliche, but I am looking for that "someone special" For now though, I am interested in seeing what we might have in common, establish a friendship first, take things slow, and go from there. Some of my qualities that I look for in others are a great sense of humour, mine tends to be somewhat sarcastic, and is not always politically correct. I enjoy intelligent conversation, but on the flip side, I'm still a kid at heart and can be nutty at times and like to be able to banter back and forth. Someone who is responsible but yet doesn't take themselves or life too seriously, is honest and has good values. I have a job that I am happy in, and would hope that you do also.I can also be somewhat adventurous, I am usually up for trying anything new, but at times I can be just as happy curled up with good book. New chapter in my life and loving life. I love to walk my dog or take a walk with that special someone in the rain. Doing anything, camping, walking, hiking, playing sports outside is a must at this time of year. Sit on a beach, I love to just jump in my vehicle and drive somewhere, or better yet take an airplane. Fulfilling my bucket list is something that I have started working on lately.I I live each day with happiness, I am a happy person.
