I am a busy mom. I love my kids, but would love to have another grown up in my life, to share things and have a good laugh. If you have children part or full time, I will respect your time with them. The part about not wanting children to me means, I have no intention of having more, in case my age did not make that obvious.I love creativity and discovery and seek ways to include that in my life and *** in my children. I am passionate & romantic. I love holding hands.I have a great sense of humor. (whats really funny is that we all seem to think that on here). I laugh at myself and my life. I am pretty sure I can make you laugh and am looking for someone to do that for me. My sense of humor varies from outright silly to witty to a little on the blue side.I love comedies stand up, and even the just for laughs gags. I love the irrelevant show. Monty Python is pure genious! We lost a great one in Lesley Neilson, his talent will not be forgotten.I am a huge sport fan, especially amateur sports.I was very involved in sport at one time and value the role it can play in one's life. I Love to be silly,I sing loudly, cry softly and miss having a hand to hold. I am wanting to start out slowly, so while my category says dating, I would like to make a friend here. ( I would ulitmately like to fall in love with a friend) I prefer a man with some formal education as well as some interests in theatre or the arts but willing to be active as well. I am glad to be back in Winnipeg ***yrs now) and am thrilled to have attended my first Fringe festival in years! I think we should try to continue learning throughout our lives. I value intelligence, wit and integrity. I think all people should practice random acts of kindness and live like Karma exists.Oh and by the way, while my profile says a few extra pounds... I am a very muscular build, and am finally finding the time to be back in the gym. I am being honest with that heading ... it is my goal in the months to come to change it to athletic . As an athlete I was very muscular and very lean... Now I am softer and curvier but fitter than the average woman. I choose not to put average, as the average woman has little muscle tone, in my observation. I know that heading will turn some off, but just being honest. I have found several who put "a few extra pounds" on here and honestly appear much larger. sorry if that comes off as a rant... and I know that only those who got past that point will get to read this... maybe a walk to a great little place for a tea or great coffee? Maybe a walk to look at some of the great murals of winnipeg. lets get a slurpee! (boy does that shout winnipeg raised or what?)

    I've been divorced over a year now and have two kids (teens) who are the main focus of my life. But, to be honest, I'm missing the companionship of a man. I don’t want to get serious right now but my ultimate goal would be a committed relationship. However, right now I want to go out and have fun, take things slow and see where it goes from there. I enjoy virtually all activities from dancing, walks, travel and camping to just hanging out, laughing and watching a good movie. I am open to just about anything. I have been at my work for 19 years and plan to retire there within about 10 years. I love my job and take it very seriously. Vacations and leisure time are important to me, I love to travel and go on cruises with my girlfriends (the Caribbean is my favorite place). I served in the Army right out of high school and was stationed in Germany and I've been overseas to many different countries and would like to revisit those places someday. I was raised by a single mother who struggled most of her life to raise my brother and I. She inspired me to be strong and independent. I have been told I'm fun to be around. However, I feel kind of shy in new situations sometimes. Being single is not something I am used to and I am definitely out of practice when it comes to dating. It's been 20 years since I was single. I do miss the passion and the newness of a relationship. I like that feeling you get in your stomach (butterflies) when that connection is mutual. If I sound interesting, I'd like to start via *** how it goes from there. I am very responsible, definitely have my life together and I can afford to treat myself and my children well. I'm looking for someone between ***, fun to be around, responsible, has a sense of humor and just loves enjoying life. My mother passed away suddenly of a heart attack and I miss her a lot. I've learned that life is too short and you just never know when your time is up, so I'm getting out of my comfort zone and putting myself out there with the hope that I can rewrite my happy ending.     Hi, I like to think of myself as an honest, outspoken, tell it like it is kind of person. I attend a local university full time, so my social life is limited at times. I like to get out once in a while and have a few drinks with friends. I like to camp, fish, travel, and just about anything pertaining to the outdoors, except when it is cold as heck outside...brrr.     I have begun to wonder if the description part even matters. So many people look at the pictures and make their decisions on who someone is....how fair is that? I work with young children and the thing I love the most about them is that they "see" the real person, they don't judge. If only more people were like little children in that way! There is so much more to me than my size or what I look like. I am a romantic at heart. I feel that there is someone special for each of us...that one person who brings out the best in you and makes you smile for no other reason than the fact that you were thinking of them. I believe that relationships take work but that the end result is what puts the smile on your face and in your heart. I try to give to others in whatever way I can that will make them feel special and cared about. I have many interests....movies, attending sporting events, concerts (variety of genres), hiking, walking etc. I am also able to speak a few different languages.....football, nascar, and basketball and am willing to learn more languages :-) I have learned from the mistakes in my past and I don't judge others by the actions of those in my past and I am hoping to find someone who feels the same way. Who says the second time around can't be better than the first?!? I try to find the positive in all things and enjoy a good laugh. I really enjoy being around someone who is witty with a great sense of humor. My youngest just graduated from high school and will be heading off to join his older brother in the USAF and I am about to enter a new chapter of my life and I am looking forward to seeing what gets written in the book of my life. I know I am not model material but I am NOT lazy. I walk several times a week, have completed Bloomsday the past two years. I hope to find the man who will take the time to find out who I am! I am a person who sees the strengths in others and I don't give up on people.....I would love to meet someone who is the same way. I have admit I have an ulterior motive for joining this site: I recently saw on the news that people in committed relationships live 10 years longer than those who aren't!
