About Me

Hello,I'm a fun mom and my kids come first, but I have plenty of room in my heart for the right guy! My friends describe me as a passionate but laid back person. I am a Special Education Teacher and am often told that I am very patient, compassionate, and creative. My favorite part of being a teacher is having summer off! I spend the summer in the sun with my kids at the pool, or the quarry! The best vacation for me is anywhere with a beach or pool. Sunny days, even in the winter make me happy. I love to cook, but love it even more when I have someone who appreciates my efforts. My kids are in elementary school and still prefer hot dogs & mac n cheese--that's no fun. I love to go out with my friends on occasion and just hang out over drinks or dinner! Being with positive people who support me in my life is the next best thing to being with my kids--sometimes even better! (everyone needs a break!) I love music, especially 80's "alternative" or modern rock, and many classics from the 70's, but many other eras also--anything but rap and twangy country.;; Sons, Adele...so many more! I use music in my classroom on a regular basic and I feel that it makes my soul soar! I also love to read a great book or see movies that are life affirming! But I also love movies in general, anything but scary horror or super violent--I don't need those images in my head. I like to spend time with the right people, but I have never been a party girl and am not about to start now. I like to spend quality time with good friends and enjoy my family time with my children above anything else! But don't worry--if your the right guy, I'll make plenty of time in my life for you too! I like a first date in a public place, but one that is private and quiet enough to allow for a great conversation so we can get to know each other! Starting with drinks or coffee, drinks help with nerves... then if all goes well, we can continue over a casual dinner. Sometimes watching a band in a small venue is a fun distraction that still allows for getting to know one another. I especially love acoustic guitar. Then we can find out what you love to do for our future dates...I think its important to focus on the other person and find out if a second date is in order! We can save involved activities or expensive dinners for our future together! I like to spend time with positive people who are genuine, actually nice, generally more liberal in politics--but that is not a requirement- opposites attract and make for good conversation! I'm terrible in math, so if your an engineering minded kind of guy-- your in!! (I was an English major and math is not my thing.) LOL

    I am extremely family oriented and love spending time with my crazy relatives and friends. My job is very important to me and I have been called a workaholic at times, but I prefer career oriented.
