...so I'm wondering why there's not a choice for "I'm really Busy, but not dead" I want to Date, but don't have a whole lotta time to peruse the social scene...=.. Not the Statue of Liberty... just sayin... If there's one lesson I have learned in this life... it is: "The Journey is as important as the Destination", that there are always detours and bumps in the road that generally make us better people in the long run, and more often than not, the most interesting of situations happen when you least expect them. Often times I find myself getting so caught up in work (I Build / Fix / Teach Computers), that I don't spend enough time enjoying all of the wonderful things around me. I'm a very curious person. I like to learn what makes someone tick. What inspires them. I enjoy unspoken communication. A grin, eye contact, the shared unspoken thought. But I realize most of that just comes with time. I’m just a normal girl, looking for a companion who is ok with who they are, rather than whom they "appear to be". I want to meet new, interesting people and see what happens. I am down to earth, honest, Northern, open minded and have a good sense of humor... which, most of the time, involves a bit of Sarcasm. I'm artistic, creative, passionate, a deep thinker, a little nerdy, well versed, well read, articulate and I love foreign accents! I am not perfect and don't expect anyone else to be. I live alone and support myself. I care about, and am extremely loyal to the people I elect to have in my life. I am a good listener, and a problem solver. I believe in courtesy - holding doors open and helping people. I am a romantic but I am also very practical. I'm looking to meet Someone REAL. Not afraid to be yourself. No ***, but at the same time, no limits. If the chemistry is there, then it's there... if it's NOT, well, you can't force something like that. I believe one day, someone will walk into your life and you will realize why it never worked with anyone else. Until then... unfortunately, I'm not a very patient person... *frown* and cooking for one gets old.I am Tired of living my Life in the Singular.As far as Preferences... I have nothing to hide, and I'm hoping that you don't either...I'd just like to add...I am ultimately looking for someone to share my life with. The good, the bad, the happy times and the not-so-good. I Believe in looking for a mate, you should Support each other, and Compliment one another's strengths and weaknesses. Yes, physical attraction is pretty important to me, but mental attraction is much more impressive. A lot of people are not comfortable with my Northern-Ness, (is That a word?) so, I'm looking for someone who understands and appreciates my humor as well! ** Somebody said to me once, "you can't say the wrong thing to the right person." That person "gets" what you have to say even if you don't have perfect composition...My view on personal relationships and friendships? Just be Honest. Honesty is Huge with me. Why do so many see a need to impress others? Just have fun and enjoy life. It works better that way. Ideally I would like someone with an open mind who is intelligent and attractive with a good personality. Someone who is forgiving when I show up a little late, or want to drag them to the 24 hour grocery at 3:30 in the morning!! Someone who can whip up a decent meal with whatever’ Someone I can wake up next to and make coffee for with a sleepy smile on my face!How do you like your Coffee?Music is also a Very Large part of my life… I sing, and listen to a Wide Variety, but it always seems that I come back to Classic Rock and the Blues. You can do anything with music on...é... It all depends on the chemistry... I would say we should go somewhere where we could have good conversation, and possibly people-watch over a cup of cawfee or a glass of wine.I don't have a "type". I am NOT one of those people who require that someone have a certain look, body style, lifestyle, philosophy, religion, hobby, height, eye color, hair color... or anything else. I will, however, admit to a liking for "Bad Boys"... Especially if I find one who is easy on the eyes, with a personality that meshes with my own... a Harley, and an extra helmet!! (I've got a pair of CHAPS I need to break in!) That said... I believe that You don't shop for people the way you do a car, and if you do, you easily could miss out on great people! Generally I only date caucasian guys, but you never know... You might WOW me... just sayin.
