About Me

I offer an open mind and an open heart. I believe respect, honesty, trust, communication, attraction and lots of laughter make relationships something we treasure, not just something we are in. They create the bonds we hold onto, not get tangled up in. I am not a perfect person, but I give my best for all things, always. I am a wiseass, dry wit, tree hugger, philanthropist, attitude of gratitude, health and nutrition geek, avid recycler, and I always bmob(bring my own bag). I am passionate about the environment and being an active participant in making the world a better place. I DIY just about everything in my home and love home construction projects. Don’t worry, I don’t need your tools, I have my own. Power and kitchen tools over shoes any day. And, yes, I am still very much a girl with heels, skirts, toolbelt and all. ;) I’m not afraid of hard work, big challenges, bugs, clogged toilets, or breaking a nail. I don’’t bother me at all. Of course, I will be busy getting in touch with my inner Rianna so, hopefully, you don’ I am generally a very active person and I love to be outside as much as I can and I am always interested in trying new things. Nights on the porch swing are a favorite too. I am always involved in fundraising events and volunteering for humanitarian, school, and environmental causes. Love, love, love music. All kinds. It is not so much what it is or who it is by, but how it makes me feel. There is nothing like the feeling of being in a song. With the right music in my iPod I can do anything. I love children in general, but my little banana heads are my favorite people in the world. We hike, bike, jog, play baseball, football, frisbee, and lots of leggo building. We frequent all the playgrounds in the area, and trek off museums and aquariums whenever possible. We do the Komen 5k for breast cancer and the 5k for Saint Jude’s together every year. If you have kids, no problem, the more the merrier. Honesty is a HUGE deal to me. Gigantic. If the truth used you like a sock puppet and you still couldn’t be honest………Stop Reading and Fish Elsewhere. If you are looking for a replacement “mommy”, are a video game junkie, stupid humor lover, bar fly or couch potato- I am not the one for you.…….we are not a match. At all. I am looking for someone who really wants to be in a family. With all the chaos, laughter, fun, love and frustration that comes with it. It's a hell of a ride, but so very worth it. If the idea of little league, school concerts, boys in trees and mud, bake sales and bouncy house birthday parties makes your skin crawl we are not a match. If you have a big, nutty family that drives you crazy, but you love dearly and never want to live without- no worries- I have one too. I am hoping to find someone who has the same level of energy, ambition, and passion that I do. Someone who has diversified intellect and interests, brainiacs welcome, I promise you won’t bore me. Someone who is fun, active, smart, outgoing, yoga loving, urban homesteading, socially aware and responsible, foodie, eco-freak, high nutrition inclined, style conscious, child friendly and financially savvy. Sports fanatic, fine. Workaholic ok. Dancing sushi lover preferred. Did you get all that, lol? Let’s build a gazebo, dig a koi pond, hike a trail, get massages, throw a killer Superbowl party.     I like to go out with friends when I get a chance and listen to some karaoke or dance a little, maybe have a few drinks. Sometimes I just sit around and play games on the computer or on the PS3 with the kids.
