Hiya...I'm in the process of updating my profile on here as a lot has changed since I wrote this a few years back and I am not getting many responses from the type of men I'm interested in dating.To begin with, I have always been very athletic. I've played ice hockey for almost 30 years now, mostly on guys teams. I'm still currently playing and I love it. I started playing soccer 7 years ago, and have progressed to the point of being decent. I now play soccer ***times a week on men's, women's and co-ed teams and hockey once a week in a men's league. I also started running last year. I completed 12 races between 5K and 10K last year. My goal for this year is to run my first half- I had always hated running, so this has been a huge accomplishment for me.Despite my continuous participation in sports, I became heavier than I wanted to be and I have spent the past year getting into much better shape. I've lost 33 lbs in the last year thru sports, P90x and Insanity. It's been a great journey and I'm happy with my results even though I am still a few pounds away from my goal. I'm now within the appropriate BMI range for my height. The built descriptions on here are pretty generic, so if I had to describe myself, I would say I am short and curvy, with a mostly athletic build, but as is the case with most folks my age, I'm not as lean as I'd like to be. Because I have changed so much since I posted this, I am still in the process of updating my photos.I have 7 cats, you may as well know that up front. I'm not a collector, rather I worked for an animal rescue group as a foster and have adopted a few of the cats that weren't adoptable to other people. I love animals, but I don't intend to adopt any more at this point. If you have a problem with cats or that I have 7, probably best not to bother contacting me.I like to write sometimes. I used to write short stories and poetry, but haven't for a while. I love movies and music and collect both. I'd love to meet someone who likes theater, especially musicals.Now that my weight and health are under control, I'm now working on systematically organizing and changing my home. I've done some work in the past and I am looking forward to doing some additional repairs and updates. I have some great ideas once I get the time and money to start moving forward. I am not really sure what I am looking for, as I have been on my own for a while. I'm actually fine with being on my own, but like most folks, I'd like to find a guy who can share in all of the good things in life. I'm definitely open to friendship, and dating possibly. To be straight with you from the beginning, I like to take the time to chat with someone before meeting up for a date, so if you are in a hurry, I'm probably the wrong girl for you.In a guy, I am looking for a non-smoker, lite or non-drinker, and non-drug user. It's a must that you can accept the cats because I have made a commitment to care for them and it's not an option for me to give them up. It doesn't matter to me if you have kids, I've had a lot of experience caring for kids and I like them. If you're the type that can't be faithful, please don't bother contacting me. I'm looking for a partner in a relationship. I know this site has a reputation for being a hook-up site. I just want to emphasize that I am not here looking for a hook-up. If I don't find someone on here, I'm okay with that.I am employed and have worked for the same company for 10 years. I believe that speaks to my loyalty as well as my work ethic. I'm in search of a guy who can be my partner in all things.I'd love to meet a guy who's honest and straightforward and isn't afraid to be blunt, because I am the type who'll tell you things straight out.Honesty is important...and patience since I myself am not that patient.
