About Me

I wrote this thing awhile back, then completely *** for a few spins around the sun and am just now checking back in. It seems my profile has gotten outdated in the meantime, so let's do something about that! I tell people that I'm a highly social introvert. I love going out and doing things with old friends, new friends, huge groups of people, small handfuls of people, whatever. I'm definitely a people fan! (Unless they're mean. Mean people suck - come on, we've all seen the sticker, this is not news. I'm not going to hang out with you if you're mean...and you shouldn't hang out with yourself either. There. Go get a fish for company. But please don't be mean to the fish, bc that would make me sad.) I have a fantastic group of friends, I love them to pieces, and I'm completely blessed to get to spend time with them throughout the week!That being said, I'm entirely comfortable spending time by myself, and I need to do a certain amount of that to stay sane. I love to read, work outside, take my dog on long walks, go to the gym, clean out my closets - ah, just kidding, I just can't talk myself inyo cleaning out my closets right now. You can tell it's on my mind though, can't ya?I love doing outdoorsy stuff, and want to do more of it! I love being outside where I can appreciate green growing things and random little creatures. I'm also very adept at setting marshmallows on fire. It's a talent, and I'm proud of it.I like to do whatever interests me at the time. (Oooooh, specific, I know! In fact, you should ask me how that's coming along, bc that might inspire me to actually start, and that would make me proud of myself. I've discovered that I really love to travel, but because I've been pursuing a career that I love rather than one that pays a million dollars, I haven't been able to go as many places as I would like. Which means there are so many fun places left to visit!! Let's go see them! But first let's go back to the Caribbean. Man I love that place. Fishy fishies. Palm trees. Crystal clear water. Fresh pineapple by the roadside. Starfish that crawl on me. Yes. Let's go. I can be packed in 5 minutes.I like critters. Four-legged critters, six-legged critters, eight-legged critters... though i have a caveat about eight-legged critters. They are beautiful and interesting and I respect them, but I don't want any of them ON me. This is very important, you've been properly warned, and please don't take it upon yourself to see what happens when I discover a spider on me. No one wants to see that.I have a slight addiction to ordering used books off of Amazon before I get out of bed on Sunday mornings. It's a problem, and I'm looking for a support group. No luck so far.I don't like being bored, so, I don't get bored. I've been known to sign up for classes for fun. Recently.When I'm out, I'm most have a pretty "live and let live" philosophy, and enjoy people who feel the same way.I'm sure I would like kids if I had them, but I don't, so right now they're all "other people's kids". I'm MUCH more comfortable rolling around on the floor with your rottie-pit mix than your 4-yr-old. But, i like trying new things, so there's that. =)

    Wow! Time flies!! I'd kill for a NYC bagel and pizza! ::sniffle:: Why can't Ohioians make a good bagel!? Geeshh!ANYWAY...I love baseball (the NY YANKEES of course)!I have that fiery redhead NYC energy. I'm extremely sarcastic, my mother tells me I've made it into an art form, I say I'm just a typical NY'er!I'm a tomboy at heart, yet I know when I need to be "a girlie girl." I can pitch a no hitter then go out to a fancy dinner and wine tasting! I love to read! I can sit outside with a good book and read for hours. Yet I can also throw a great party (or BBQ) with 60 close friends! I’m a coffee addict! Maybe that’s a NYC thing, but I can spot/smell/sense a Starbucks from a mile away! I'm a artist and jewelry designer. Most of all a geek and goofball! I don't like to take life too serious, it's way too short! My friends and family mean the world to me. I will do anything for those that I love, and believe me I have over the years! I still miss all my NY friends.I own my own house, run my own business and have a full time job. I'm not in anyway shape or form needy!! I'm extremely independent, usually to a fault. I have a very hard time asking for help.I'm an Executive Assistant. I babysit powerful men all day! Really, "my boys" are great guys! I do love my job! I'd much rather be a full time artist, but I'm too much of a planner. I like having health insurance and a 401K.My jewelry design business is doing well and I'm really happy with doing that part-time (though some days it's harder then my full time job)! I do steampunk jewelry using old watch parts and antique "found" objects. That's going really well! During show season (May - November) I'm crazy busy with art shows on the weekends. It's a lot of work, but when people love my pieces and rave about my talent, I can't help but blush and beam. That makes all the hard work worth it. As long as good conversation is involved, I'm up for whatever! :-)

    One of the things I hear most often from people is that I’m a good listener and very supportive. I like being there for people I care about when they need me and taking a positive, fun outlook toward life.When you’re Italian and Portuguese and are raised on some of the most delicious food in the world you tend to love to cook, and I do. I love the feeling I get from a healthy lifestyle so I eat well, work out at the gym, and take long walks when I can. Of course, I’m a Patriots fan and happy for the start of the NFL season. I also love the Celtics, going to movies and concerts, bowling, and sometimes just relaxing with a great TV show. I’m a big CSI fan. I mean NCSI, too. And NCSI: LA. True, it’s a small addiction, but if we ever need to lift prints off a wine glass I’ll be ready. Family and friends are the most important things in my life. I’m lucky to come from a loving family and I love spending time with them, especially my one year old niece. Right now, I live with my parents while I’m working toward new digs. For some people that wouldn’t work but I’m easygoing, love my family, and the move is spring boarding me to a new exciting place. For Fun, I like the Patriots and Celtics but have never been to a game, maybe it’s time to work on changing that. Taking vacations, drives to nowhere, ice skating, bowling, going to the beach, and occasional trips to a casino are all fun. I've been going since I was a kid when my grandparents had two cottages there. A great personality, healthy lifestyle, and love of a good time are the traits I find really attractive in a man. I’m looking for a long-term relationship so respect, communication, honesty, and trust are essential. So, if you’re family-oriented, want kids, and love long walks send me a message!
