About Me

I believe that a good relationship is built on a great friendship. So, I am here to make friends and see where it goes from there. I am a single mom to three great kids, I have been divorced from their father for three years now. My children are my top priority, they are the most important people in my life, so liking kids is a must for me. I'm not going to bring anyone into my life that doesn't get along with my kids. If you are intimidated by tall, independent women with tattoos then I'm not for you. I stand a little over 6'0 tall, I have three tattoos and I own my own home. I like to try to find the humor in everything, I am a lover not a fighter, even though I do have a German/Irish temper with a long fuse. I am more of a homebody, I would rather stay home, order a pizza, and watch a movie with my kids, than go out any night. I'm not big on huge crowds, hanging out at the mall, or going to a bar. I love music! All types of music from country to rock, oldies to heavy metal. I can't really say I have a favorite but what I'm listening to right now is mostly Jason Aldean and Nickelback. I would rather turn up the music and dance around while cleaning my house, than sit on my ass watching tv. I have morals and old fashion values, I have taught my kids to treat others how you want to be treated. I am not materialistic in any way, if you are, we won't get long very well. I am far from superficial, you may have a handsome face, but it means nothing if you have an ugly heart. I am at the point in my life where I'm to old to deal with lies, drama, and meanless relationships. I want a partner that is open, honest and trustworthy, without trust there is nothing. I feel there is no reason for cheating in a relationship, if you aren't happy tell your partner and move on with or without them. I'm not fond of the saying "real men don't cry" or "men aren't supposed to show emotion" give me a break, we don't live in the 50's anymore. Don't get me wrong, I'm not asking for a man that cries at every Hallmark commercial, just someone that is secure enough to express their feelings. I don't feel you should live in your past, but to learn from it. If you have something so bad in your past that you aren't willing to share it with your partner, and you feel it should stay buried in the past, you shouldn't be dating because everything does come back to bite you in the ass someday. I am an open book, there is nothing in my life that I am ashamed of or regret and I am looking for someone that feels the same way.     Currently, I'm redefining myself, and I love trying new things. It doesn't mean I'm going to like everything, but I have found some unexpected joys by testing my limits. Our team practices three times a week, and I spend a lot of time doing drills outside of that. Maybe I'm just going through a mid-life crisis, but this is currently a huge part of my life. I like a person who doesn't take himself too seriously and isn't afraid to venture out of his comfort zone. The rest is negotiable. Something active sounds enjoyable. That doesn't mean I want to meet you for a 5K run (we can save that for another time); I just want to be actively engaged in doing something, such as miniature golf, visiting an amusement park, or even roller skating. After working all day at a desk, it's nice to move around. It also helps me relax and not be as nervous.
