I'm a risk-taker, so I uprooted my whole life and here I am. My closest family and friends are still on the east coast. I am very driven by the injustices that I see around me, particularly in regards to education. I believe that education is empowering, and the work I have chosen to do professionally lets me live out that belief. I also really love communicating - yeah, I realize that sounds weird. I mean that in every sense. I love to have deep talks with people one-on-one; I love to write funny texts and long, involved stories. If I could be anything in this world and not have to worry about paying the bills, I would be a writer. I'm also a sponge. I love to pick up new knowledge and am hyper-aware that there is so much in this world that I don't know. So it also makes sense that I love to travel. I've been lucky enough to go to 13 countries so far, and I'm hoping to plan another trip out of the country soon. I get pretty nervous on dates, so caffeine should probably not be in the recipe...
