I'm really good at teddy bear stands. It's sort of a hidden talent, I guess. Along with making balloon animals.I once learned how to play the guitar, and then learned how to the play the ukulele a few years later, but now can't play either of them. I do own a recorder, though.. how cool is that? I'm contemplating re-learning one of these things but I haven't decided which one yet. I like singing and I do it a lot, but I try to keep it to the car mainly because even children laugh at how bad it is.I like adventures, hiking, running, camping, beaching, 4x4, the outdoors, etc. I can make a fire in under two minutes... yes, I am that rugged. I recently went on a trek (if you consider 2 days of trekking a trek) and it was pretty cool so I'm interested in doing some more of that. Cheam never gets old and I will one day soon camp up there so I can watch it from the top of the mountain.I love art, especially painting nude figures. I enjoy good tattoos, but I don't have any... YET!I really like beef jerky. I also love tea, wine, sushi, and basically every food except for creamed corn.I have a pair of sailor jerry converse shoes and I own a lava lamp.I am perpetually annoyed by the fact that I have a fairly well-paying career that I went to school for too many years for, I don't spend frivolously, and yet I still don't seem to have any money to travel and do the cool things I want to do... there are about 18 million things wrong with our society though, so I won't get into that right now. I just decided yesterday that I WILL go backpacking next summer because I've wanted to do that for a long time, so penny pinching begins now.I am a confident and independent person and I like people with those same qualities. I like guys who stand up for themselves and who aren't afraid to be themselves, have a good sense of humour, can handle witty banter, are not too self-absorbed but are still confident, can hold their own without being a doormat, and who are willing to compromise when necessary but not to the point of giving up their hobbies, personality, or things they love. I also have a weakness for men with a good stubbly unshaven face, some ruggedness, or some sort of edge. I meet people fairly easily in person but I've been having trouble meeting the right type of people, and I already have 3 cat shirts so I figured I should get a move on before cats take over entirely. I do love cats and dogs (well-mannered dogs only) but unfortunately my cat passed a month ago due to a heart defect, at the tender age of three... hence why it says I have no pets.Anyway, if you think you worthy of competing in a teddy bear stand contest with me, you know what to do.I keep trying to post this and my About Me section keeps deleting.. so I hope it's not actually showing up and I'm now looking like an idiot for posting it more than once. I also apologize for not having a closer up picture, but at least you can rest assured that I don't have any super amazing selfies.

I work from home doing medical billing. People say that a good job doesn't just knock on your door, but for me this one did. It allows me to set my own hours and be spontaneous. It's not what I dreamed of doing when I grew up, though. I always thought I'd be a professional skydiver...(it's better than being a firetruck, right?) Skydiving is still on my bucket list along with scuba diving and vacationing in Thailand. Why Thailand? I'm not really sure. It just seemed like a good idea one day so it made the list. I enjoy experiencing new cultures and meeting new people. My son and I vacationed in Belize a few years ago. It was Amazing!! The Mayan ruins, Xunantunich, blew my mind. I would love to go back and check out some of the other sites. While traveling the world would be my idea of a perfect life, the real world insists that I work and pay these annoying things called bills. So my everyday life consists of the more mundane. Weeknights are normally spent at home with my 'mini-me'. We might go for an evening walk/ride (usually 4wheelers). Sometimes we'll get the horses out and take them for a ride. Now that the weather is getting colder we've been spending more time indoors though. I tend to laugh a lot. Humor is my main 'ice-breaker'. My motto should be, "If you can't laugh at yourself, call me....I'll do it for you!" My dad was a diesel mechanic so I grew up in a shop full of crude humor and dirty jokes. I'm not easily offended. I seem to laugh the hardest at silly kid friendly jokes. (What do you call a fake noodle? An ImPasta!) I love stand-up comedy. I also favor comedies when picking movies to watch. My favorite movie is Rango. It has a great moral, but cracks me up everytime! I'd like to find an accomplice to my shenanigans. Someone who laughs as much as I do and doesn't sweat the small stuff. First dates should be unique. I like to be spontaneous and just go with the flow.
