Hi, everybody! I'm the girl with a million contradictions. I love to wear a pretty dress and heels, but I'm just as comfortable in flip-flops and jeans. I love to go to fancy dinners, but there is something about a dive bar that calls to me. I'm a mom, but I don't talk about my son until asked, invite him on dates or pre-screen my dates for potential step-fatherhood. There's just something weird about including your kids in your dating life. I'm on this site because I work a lot and stay home in my free time, so unless my family and friends set me up on blind dates (cue bloodcurdling scream) I don't get to go on dates. For a while I waited for the meet-cute to happen. You know, the meeting with a significant other that happens in a grocery store when you both reach for the same jar of pickles. I dressed to the nines to go food shopping, to the gas station, even the dry cleaners. Yeah, it turns out love doesn't work like that outside of romantic comedies...much to my disappointment. So, here I am.Here's what I look for in a man: someone confident who knows himself really well. I want someone to put me first, so I can put him first. I want someone who is never going to change, and who has enough respect for himself not to try to change for someone else. I am hard-working and ambitious but love to have fun and laugh a lot. My family, friends, faith, and dog are the things that mean the most to me. I don't want to be bored. I love moving around. I love dancing and watching movies about dancing. I love old music, old movies, old clothes, old bikes, new ideals and beliefs. I'm very realistic and it often makes me seem negative because people hate reality (can you blame them?). I'm in no way ready to have children or get married or even think about those things. I'm in school full time and I love it. I love my program and I love my school and being involved. That being said, I can't promise I won't move away when I'm done - not shocking since I'm in the Tourism and Travel program.
