I just finished my Masters and the move is exciting, but I also know NO one! I have great friends down in the SD area but unfortunately, I can't take them with me (I've tried.) I'm very dedicated to my profession but I also have a lot of energy and am a huge advocate of a balanced lifestyle- I'm always doing something, even if its actively doing nothing. I love doing anything outside and am only really limited by time and/or my old decrepit body. I almost just said I feel like I'm writing a personals add...Then realized-I am.That was awkward. The first hang out would be something that doesn't involve a movie theater or coffee- too dark and too cliche (but I love going to the movies FYI) I'd probably say find a common interest and take it from there- anything from an arcade to exploring somewhere new.

I live a bit on the nerd side of life... Huge movie/TV nerd. Love fantasy, science fiction, comedy, drama, indie, action, etc. among many other genres. I love reading just as much. As far as music goes I truly listen to a little of everything, it just depends on my mood or the time of year to influence what will be playing on the car stereo, I love to sing along to the radio.I don't like trying to classify myself into any particular category or label, I find I don't fit into any particular category or label easily other than nerd and/or eccentric lol. I love butch, femme, androgynous, whatever, I am just interested in the sparkling personality inside whatever package you may embody. Also I have a 5 year old daughter who is my pride and joy and the love of my life, of course. Love camping, though don't go as often as I would like, I always feel refreshed after some time away from everything and out enjoying the beauty of this area. I don't possess the most natural of creative abilities, but I do so admire the artistically gifted!I would love to go out and have adventures in the Willamette Valley, be it a show, live music, theater, a museum, nature, anything! I enjoy all areas of science, especially the universe above and around us, I just love astronomy! I love tinkering around in the kitchen, trying new recipes out. I enjoy baking and making treats and goodies, I pretend to be crafty, but in truth I'm not lol, I crochet a little and enjoy looking at crafty ideas but rarely follow through. :-p Arg, these things are terribly difficult to write and sound interesting I think lol.
