About Me

"a realist with a touch of hopeless romantic" :-) Hmmm, about me. I love being outside. I enjoy skiing, snowboarding, camping, hiking, basically anything outdoors. I love going on spontaneous adventures. I LOVE working with kids, and most of my jobs since babysitting at 12, have been with children. I think what makes me unique is that I love to sing and be goofy, but I'm a cool, fun person to be around. I definitely know how to have fun, but also know when it's time to be serious. I am a very positive person. I always try to see the good in people and situations. I am honest, trustworthy, and very caring. I love myself. I figure, I probably should since I have to be with myself ***:-) I love getting dressed up to go out, but I also love to be lazy in jeans and a hoodie. I'm not gender-specific, in that, I don't really identify as female. I mean, I am a woman for sure. But I am me first, and I want to meet someone similar. Now for people I like to date. I like people kinda like me, but i admit i like femme girls too. I really like more androgynous girls though. I have a special place for bois and ftm boys. To be honest, I just like people for who they are. I mean, I have to be attracted to them, but its really more about personality. I like people who are also positive and outgoing. I like someone with a sense of humor, especially dry, sarcastic humor. As for music, it's my life so what can I say. I am willing to listen to anything and give it a shot. But I know what I like. I love good guitar, anything with finger-picking. I like folk, blue-grass, indie, some pop, alternative, and classic rock for sure. Not a big fan of country, but old country's not too bad.P.S. I am a grammar Nazi. So, if you don't know the difference between there, their, they're, and to, two, too, then we might not get along. And please, no shorthand. Good grammar gets you a long way in my book :-) My favorite first date would be something simple but thoughtful. Coffee date is usually best, as it gives a chance to talk and get to know one another. But I'm always down for an adventure!!

    So, I have been out of the dating scene for a while. Living in a small town it's hard to find a girl who is hot and who has a great personality; usually when I do find one, she is unattainable, straight, or already in a relationship. For right now I am just looking for dating and if it leads to more so be it.When it comes to looks I would consider myself very picky, call it being vain or shallow but looks are an important factor for me. I will admit I am also very romantic. Watching a movie while it is raining out sounds like a great date night to me, give me a pretty girl to cuddle up with and I am in heaven. There are things in life that are very serious to me but I also know when to have fun.My goal in life is to become a phlebotomist first and then work my way up to a registered nurse, start a family with someone and definately want kids! I want to own my own ranch with tons of animals, especially horses. Definately interested in a girl who doesn't drink or use drugs. Compromising in relationships is important to me. Loyalty and trust is a must have in a relationship. If you don't have trust you don't have anything. Coffee, bowling, or something along those lines. Definitely not a movie; horrible first date cuz their wouldn't me much communicating and it would be awkward.
