Having your session timeout after you write your whole profile is tremendously disappointing. I’m going to give it another whirl; I hope it can hold up to the original! Okay, take two….Overall, I would have to say that the most important thing to me is to be a positive role-model and influence for my son and all those around me. Taking the road less traveled, facing obstacles, and learning from these experiences is what I believe creates inner strength and strong bonds with others. Generally speaking, I take every experience, good or bad, as a lesson in life to learn from. Being introspective is key to moving forward in a positive direction. I look at life as something that I may not be able to control, but can embrace to create a meaningful future and most importantly a meaningful present. Yes, I know it may seem cheesy, it may seem idealistic, but the glass is half full, right?Being a mother, I am by nature a loving, giving, and caring person. I am passionate about living each day to the fullest, feeling accomplished and proud of who I am, and being someone that is respected by others. I was raised by a loving family and have been fortunate enough to form genuine bonds with friends that have become more like family over the years. I am looking for someone to share all the wonderful things I have to offer, but more importantly I am looking to find someone who is authentic, self-assured, and open to sharing his life with me. I want a man that will open my eyes to new and exciting things, enjoy the fun and exhilarating things in life (along with those simple quiet moments), be my partner, be supportive, and most importantly be someone that brings the best out in me while I do the same to him.I’m joining Plenty of Fish on a whim. The eternal optimist keeps telling me to just try it out and see what happens. I’ve got nothing to lose…

I loved my time in the ATX but wanted to raise my daughter near family and in an area with seasons.- I enjoy sports though I've never been a star athlete. I love to ski in the winter (both downhill and cross country), golf and swim in the summer, and take hikes/nature walks when the weather permits. Someday, I hope to train and participate in a triathlon. I also love traveling (domestically and internationally), read voraciously, and enjoy cooking (especially baking). Essentially, I like taking advantage of opportunities to participate in activities that allow me to enjoy the outdoors and the company of other people, be they friends or strangers. Now that I'm a mom, my goals have shifted to include my daughter. Besides wanting to raise a healthy, well-adjusted child, I also want to encourage the development of her own identity while sharing as many experiences with her as possible. I hope to guide her towards being a thoughtful, open minded individual with an appreciation for different cultures and languages. Personally, I hope to develop my professional skills so that I can advance within my company. I've recently begun to consider getting a Master's degree, but not for a few more years. I like knowing that my work will benefit others (directly or indirectly), particularly individuals that may not necessarily be able to advocate for their own best interests.I'm hoping to meet new people through this site. At the moment, I'm looking to hang out and date but I'm open to something more serious if it were to develop over time. I believe that relationships should develop gradually as people get to know one another; I am not one to jump straight into a serious relationship after some online communication and one or two face to face dates. As Frank Sinatra sang, "Let's take it nice and easy". Also, I will do my best to reply to messages but keep in mind that I only have small windows of time to do so between working full-time and being a single mother to a sassy 13 month old daughter. First dates can be such a tricky thing to plan! The best first dates usually entail some sort of activity that allows you to have conversation and relax, but also keeps you engaged so that you can't overthink everything that's going on!Miniature golf or bowling would be my first choices for an activity - they're easy activities to kick back and enjoy and it's easy to goof around while playing. A low key meal is a good follow-up, if you're enjoying your date's company, to talk more without as many distractions.

Hi there! And the search continues... While I'd still love to have a natural 'how we met' story, it seems like it doesn't really happen that way anymore (especially according to those Match and meetville commercials!), so I'm diving into this in the hopes of stumbling onto someone amazing.I'm an independent person; I own my own house and have a great job that I enjoy. I have great friends and a pretty awesome family, both of which I couldn't live without. With that being said, I don't need (italicize) a man...I want one =)I could go on & on about my likes and dislikes, idiosyncrasies, or pet peeves, but I'd rather do the get-to-knowing in person. That's the fun of first meeting someone! That spark/butterflies/fireworks/googly eyed etc. feeling that only happens when you gaze into someone's eyes, not through *** at a computer/phone screen. If you think we may be a match, then send me a message; can't wait to hear from you ;)Thanks for looking and good luck in finding your better half; I truly believe we all have someone out there looking for us too. Brownie points for something unique! =)
