About Me

I'm a hard working career-minded girl thats also pretty laid back and low maintenance. Im big on working out and keeping healthy and looking for someone that has similar goals and ideals. Being healthy and driven is a must. I think people must know, at least somewhat, of what they want for themselves before they meet someone else and expect them to be able to fulfill those needs. With that said, I am at a point where I would like to meet someone who, well.. has their sh$& together. All the ducks don't need to be in a row, but you at least know that there are ducks, and have a general idea how to make a duck call to bring them in. I'm also a pretty outspoken and confident person and find these qualities attractive in a man as well. While I can dress up for a night out, I am not at all a girly girl. So if you prefer someone that is always done up with their makeup on and everything, I'm probably not your girl. I am very fortunate to have an amazing job working for a non-profit where I not only get to be around inspiring people but also help make a difference in the world. I also do triathlons, marathons, love yoga, hiking, backpacking, (pretty much any outdoor activity) and try to travel to a new country every year.While I have the utmost respect for the members of our military, I am not interested in being a military girlfriend. I have lived that lifestyle and while I respect it, it's not for me. I also worked hard for my education, I worked full time while I went to college for my degree and appreciate someone else who took the time and effort to become educated and earn a degree as well.     Pretty much, I am what happens when you take an eight-year-old and a teacher and roll them into one, then throw in a love of things dark and uncouth, like Chuck Palahniuk. This does not mean that I don't occasionally eat all the cookies and not feel bad about it...I'm just going to throw this out there: I hate the cult of Husker football. I do not want to watch or play anything that involves throwing/catching/hitting objects. If these are important in your life, I am glad that they bring you joy and happiness. Messaging me is probably a waste of your time.I feel similarly about religion. I am not religious and I know myself well enough to know that I cannot be fully and completely with someone who is. If your religion is an important part of your life, I am glad that it brings you peace and happiness. We will not work out as a couple.I am, however, very much interested in someone who is intelligent, adventurous and very open to new ideas and experiences. Super extra bonus points if you consider yourself a fairly thoughtful, rational human. I'm always up for anything. I love to try new things, so any novel experience will probably be a win. Interesting, new-to-me restaurants; artsy fartsy happenings; local festivals; coffee shops - these are all good options. The only thing that is really important is that it's relaxed for both people, with plenty of time to talk and get to know each other.

    I recently finished my active duty time as Military Police in the U.S. Navy. I'm a full time cosmetology student, which is very time consuming. I am serving/bartending while I'm in school.
