I find it really hard to capture myself in a snippet of text. I think it would say way more if I told you I'm that mystery colour in the crayon box.I draw cartoons and real life sketches. Most recently I've drawn portraits of friends from photographs.I enjoy running, outside. It makes me feel like a hamster when I run on a treadmill. I think working out is great but the gym junkie thing has yet to grab hold of me. I'm trying to get into more strength training but there's something about that runner's high and being in the sun that the gym can't beat. I have a pomeranian that more resembles a creature plucked from a tree in the enchanted forest. I appreciate and listen to a lot of different kinds of music, but electronic music is my favorite to dance to. I love to travel. I have backpacked Central America, the Philippines and Australia...the longest I've traveled is one year and I hope to travel long term again, it really tests one's limits and sanity in a way. I eat seafood but nothing furry or that resembles a favorite character in the children's books I used to read. I'm accepting and understanding of people who eat meat, and I appreciate that others respect my choice not to. My current goal is to become a speech pathologist and work with kids with communication disorders. I am in the process of completing some prerequisites to enter grad school (in two years) but I just completed by Honours BA in Anthropology. Although an Anthropology degree isn't the most practical of degrees it opened my mind to other worldviews and the unfamiliarity of my own strange culture. I believe life and people are riddled with contradictions and once I accepted this, everything made a lot more sense. I'm very genuine and I think it's the most important quality I seek in a friend or love. I think being honest with yourself and others and seeing what is now, not what could be, is really all you truly have. A dog walk or coffee is okay with me. I really appreciate a sense of humour. On Halloween, I dress up. Last year I was a treasure troll and the year before that I was Miss. Frizzle. If you actually dress up for costume parties and Halloween I will be impressed. Where other people have comfort food, I have comfort movies. Movies are the perfect pick me up after a bad day for me. The act of making food whether I am cooking, baking or barbecuing also helps me unwind. I love to try new recipes. My cook books are filled with alterations and notes for the next attempt. I am vegan, however I don’t expect you to be nor will I give you a speech about eating meat. I do however expect you to respect my life choices as I will respect yours. I will never be able to eat at the most chain restaurants, if you need these restaurants in your life on a regular basis we will not work. I love to eat, it is one of the joys in life that I need to be happy. My own laziness was irritating me so I have starting working out again. Feeling strong and healthy always makes me feel sexiest so I figure I should put some effort into achieving that lady sexiness. That said I am as comfortable in yoga pants and runners as I am in a dress and heels. Currently I am working towards becoming a physiotherapist although my bachelor's will be in Political Science. That said, I do work as I am trying to get out of undergrad debt free. What I am looking for is a man who is capable of being a gentleman but who also likes that I have a dirty mind. Sarcasm and I are great friends so ideally that is something that also tickles your funny bone. If you smoke I won’t date you sorry it's a firm deal breaker for me. You must be smart, if you can’t keep up with me, I will lose interest. Exercise should be something that you make time for. If you are lazy, I will eventually be too and I don’t want that. Believe it or not goals are sexy, a little ambition is good, it keeps you busy and hopefully happy. I expect that we should both hang out with the other person’s friends on a regular basis in addition to “couple time” and "me time". What to say about me? Well I work as a disability support worker which keeps me busy and out of trouble 90 percent of the time. I finished two degrees at the U of W. I listen to a diverse range of music however electronic/techno happens to be at the top of my list. As for movies I like comedy, action and of course "chick flicks".
