About Me

I find it really hard to capture myself in a snippet of text. I think it would say way more if I told you I'm that mystery colour in the crayon box.I draw cartoons and real life sketches. Most recently I've drawn portraits of friends from photographs.I enjoy running, outside. It makes me feel like a hamster when I run on a treadmill. I think working out is great but the gym junkie thing has yet to grab hold of me. I'm trying to get into more strength training but there's something about that runner's high and being in the sun that the gym can't beat. I have a pomeranian that more resembles a creature plucked from a tree in the enchanted forest. I appreciate and listen to a lot of different kinds of music, but electronic music is my favorite to dance to. I love to travel. I have backpacked Central America, the Philippines and Australia...the longest I've traveled is one year and I hope to travel long term again, it really tests one's limits and sanity in a way. If you are familiar with the travel website couchsurfing.org I'm sure we will have a lot to talk about =)I'm a flexitarian... I eat seafood but nothing furry or that resembles a favorite character in the children's books I used to read. I'm accepting and understanding of people who eat meat, and I appreciate that others respect my choice not to. My current goal is to become a speech pathologist and work with kids with communication disorders. I am in the process of completing some prerequisites to enter grad school (in two years) but I just completed by Honours BA in Anthropology. Although an Anthropology degree isn't the most practical of degrees it opened my mind to other worldviews and the unfamiliarity of my own strange culture. I believe life and people are riddled with contradictions and once I accepted this, everything made a lot more sense. I'm very genuine and I think it's the most important quality I seek in a friend or love. I think being honest with yourself and others and seeing what is now, not what could be, is really all you truly have. A dog walk or coffee is okay with me. I really appreciate a sense of humour. If you're funny we will get along just fine =)

    Ahhh...The little box of narcissistic view points of one's self **... My story? Ok, well I'll try to keep it real! Just a girl looking for a boy. If only it were that simple!     I love travelling and have traveled a little. It's funny the more places I visit the more my list of "must see places" grows. I like staying active, but I do like night's out too (anything but a club). I’m a bit of a foodie and am always looking to try new and different foods.I don't have tons of free time with school, work and research but I always find ways to make sure I'm somewhat available.
